I think it is not that simple. Genuinely a big part of this is a lot of these people have grown up benefiting from preventative strategies such as mandatory seat belts and airbags and car safety ratings to address your MVC example, but also mandatory vaccines and FDA food safety ratings etc. and so they have no concept of how bad some of the diseases and injuries they've not been exposed to actually are. Some of these people think that polio or food poisonings or major car wrecks can't possibly be that bad because they themselves have not experienced it. They've grown up with this strong anti-government, private businesses should handle everything mentality and don't realize where their government has benefited them and how private companies have been prevented from hurting them. All they see is that money is being spent on some preventative strategy for an issue that they've never personally experienced and so they think that that's a waste. It's like talking to a toddler where if something doesn't happen directly to them they can't comprehend it, it's part of a larger inability to exercise empathy or critical thinking skills that is nurtured and supported by the specific sociopolitical, religious, and educational milleu of this country. There was a major research paper that went around a while ago showing how almost all natural born Americans would fail a citizenship test because they just don't know the history of this country- I mean we have a lot of people who have somehow forgotten that less than 15 years ago insurance companies could just straight up deny to cover you if you had a pre-existing condition like diabetes. Education in large swaths of the country is objectively worse than a majority of the world but people won't believe it because "the United States is a first world country" so they think it can't be that bad. I used to work as a tutor and it was depressing to see so many high schoolers who were straight up actually illiterate, but they would insist that America was the best country in the world despite having never been to any other country, and while having a literacy rate worse than some schools in sub-Saharan Africa. I think also part of it is that people don't talk about is we aren't like Europe and Asia where they have a bunch of neighboring countries you can easily visit to see the difference. America's huge and the vast majority of its citizens will never visit our only two neighboring countries to see any different.

But keeping your muscles strong is key because your muscles are doing the work of maintaining joint stability for which your tendons/ligaments are insufficient. They are tired because they don’t have enough bulk to both provide stability and movement. If your muscles are tight, use low impact movements that focus on Range Of Motion. A lot of people didn't live to age five, which brought the average age of death down. But yes, you are generally right. Hygiene was one major issue -- diarrhea and enteritis were major causes of death (poor sewage, drinking water, raw milk if using cow's milk) -- I don't have numbers for under 5s but that was 20% of infant deaths in 1915. Another half of infant deaths in 1915 were due to infectious diseases -- vaccines and antibiotics help with that. Adding folic acid to our foods decreased neural tube defects by over 25%. And...I suspect access to hospitals helped a lot, as in the early 20th century less than 30% of women gave birth in hospitals. Evidence is against the cause of high infant mortality at that time being high birth rates without recovery as claimed by another respondent. I do have to note, though, that if the incoming administration gets its way, we'll be back to high repeated birth rates without adequate recovery time, as that's what happens when you eliminate access to contraception and abortion.

I am scared and mad as hell!!! Yeas, healthy living is important but so is healthcare and modern medicine it is not a this or that it is actually a this and that relationship, they can compliment each other and without healthcare and environmental regulation we can expect to start dying at the rates of our ancestors before things like vaccine, antibiotics, clean water and the likes.

This is the holistic approach to health, whereas yours is dehumanizing and fragmented, so pelase GTFO yourself. The same ie is true with acceptrance of pedophilia, ppl on the right think that is bad, when ironically the acceptance of it and humanization of it helps people to heal themselves, it is the stigmatization that perpetuiates it. I used to be deep in that alternative/naturopath shit. I was seeing a naturopath who had me taking over $2k a month in huge doses of supplements. I ate a pristine diet of all organic gluten free caffeine free keto whole foods unprocessed blah blah blah. Did nearly an entire year of professionally supervised, comprehensive detox. Did my yoga teacher training and spent hours at the gym. And I was still diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer at age 47 even tho I was not a smoker. It got to stage 4 bc when the naturopath found it (after paying out of pocket for a PET CT) they said it couldn't possibly be cancer but don't get a biopsy because that makes it spread & that will kill you faster, just do keto and these rainforest herbs and it will go away. Turns out that if I had gotten a biopsy (at tiny stage 1), they would have found that it was cancer, with a rare EGFR mutation that allowed for a targeted pill, no chemo. This type of lung cancer is associated with young healthy never-smokers. I've seen women as young as 27 die of this! I know all too well how dangerous the pseudoscience that they spout really is! I'm dying because of it! And mRNA vaccines were being developed to treat cancer, with a lot of promise. RFKjr would be disastrous for cancer patients! Beware the biohackers, y'all!

I know that nothing is as black or white. There is a lot of things that can treat it, and one of them is water and urine fasting, then MMS, and DMSO+collooidal silver + magnesium. Thank you. You talk a lot of sense! Ok. Let's take a look at history. A time when everyone ate 'organic'; when there were no vaccines and when 'health care' (for what it was) was restricted to those who could pay for it. I'm taking the Middle ages in Europe as my example. Starting with infant mortality - not the best of chances for a child to reach its first birthday, never mind its fifth or becoming an adult. Overall life expectancy (for males of land-owning families) was 31 years. Only one out of every ten adults lived to be as old as fifty. Many babies, children and teenagers died. Common diseases were dysentery, malaria, diphtheria, flu, typhoid, cholera, smallpox and leprosy. The rates of perinatal mortality in women were high. Add to that, high mortality as a result of traumatic events and accidents, which today would not necessarily be life-threatening or life-altering, and you can see what I'm getting at. I could go on. And on. It was really only with the advent of proper public health measures, such as clean water supply, effluent control, food standards, vaccination, epidemiology and better diet in the 19th and 20th century, along with major advances in medical science and treatment, which brought about massive improvements in health and longevity in the general population. My three month old grandson has recently had his first round of vaccinations. These give him protection against six potentially very serious diseases. My daughters, when they were 12, were in the first cohort to be given the HPV vaccination (Human Papilloma Virus) - an infection which is implicated in various cancers, including cervical cancer. It would have been a failure in my job as a parent not to allow them to be given that protection. As of now, all children here in the UK - male and female - are given the opportunity to have that vaccine. So, I say to those who think that eating your stick of organic celery a day will protect you, use your brain and do a little research before signing on to the ravings of the idiots who have no expertise or understanding of medical science or history, but who relish exercising control over those they consider to be beneath them, whilst often making fortunes from their snake oil alternatives. As for the grossly inflated profits of some pharmaceutical companies, the fault is in the business model and the lack of regulation, not necessarily in the actual medicines they produce. Nobody questions the efficacy of insulin in the treatment of diabetes (unless they are certifiably lunatic), but it's perfectly legitimate to question and challenge the cost to the person who needs it to stay alive. Looking forward to your next video!

As an autistic person from a long bloodline of clearly autistic (most too old to have been diagnosed) people who then wedded into another autistic bloodline (which doesn’t even acknowledge that is what is going on) and is now the proud mother of an autistic kid, the most insulting thing is how parents suggest they would rather their child be blind/deaf/paralyzed/gone from this Earth than be autistic. FFS, it’s not that bad! Just let us do our stims and wear our ear defenders and put covers on those gross fluorescent lights nobody likes anyway and wear t-shirts and sweatpants and eat goldfish crackers and have plenty of alone time playing the same video game over and over or whatever regulates us and we’re fine! Just don’t take us into crazy, overwhelming environments with no supports and then do surprised Pikachu face when we have meltdowns! Maybe restaurants are bad places for us! Maybe grocery pickup is your friend! At least I can walk and drive and, you know, be alive and stuff… 😑

Well their proposal is to send disabled people into mental asylums, and I would not be surprised they would want to do the same to autistic people. Their plan is to lock up LGBT as sex offenders just for existing, that is their view of health.

They didn't smoke. Outside of beer, they were not drinking much, even beer was expensive for most people, so you wouldn't drink every week. Still, guess what ? ......Their life expectancy was 25.
