Thank you for this message. When I was single after a 6 year emotionally abusive relationship I asked the Lord for someone who served him. God brought me a man who wasn’t necessarily in the word, but displayed characteristics of a Godly man. I was still apprehensive about him only because he wasn’t in the word as much as I was. This man has showed me nothing but kindness and consistency I realized I had to make space for the person he is. He is a good man to me.

Thank you for this! I’m in a very similar situation. God has really shown me that He loved me in my brokenness and we ALL have work to do. I don’t have ANY room or reason to judge him. He’s so good to me and I’m trusting God to do the work that needs to be done in Him, me and at large in the lives of all His people… that way only He can get the glory!! This is a wonderful message. I honestly believe that a lot of black women are so desperate for a "black man" that they will ignore obvious COMMON SENSE and morals in order to keep him. If a man puts hands on you, leave. If a man cheats on you, leave. If a man is making you feel less than, leave. If a man is CLEARLY using his power of authority to abuse and manipulate you, leave. If a man is touching your children, leave. It's simple common sense. And I am not a woman who is so caught up in religion to where I will FORGET that God loves me and bow down to a man, That man's face will end up on a milk carton lol I'm not one to play with. Sistas, you need to learn to love yourselves, and know WHO YOU ARE, so that no man will ever be able to take advantage of you. I am grateful for Tony being one of the very few black men out here trying to actually help women to see that.

This is why deliverance is important. If he is sold out to God and truly delivered he would not have a controlling Jezebel spirit. It's the relationship and the heart of the man that God looks at. My prayer is that God would choose my husband, not me because clearly I have made horrible choices. I trust the Lord enough that He will send the one and I will wait until then (working on growing in all areas, being delivered and set free, and understanding who I am in The Lord and my God-given purpose and ministry).

It’s literally just like you said, women saying they want a “man of God” that man might be bat crazy, but since he claiming to be a “Christian” they feel safe. I’m glad I really OVERstand your teachings cuz it goes over many peoples heads, at EVERY age.
@gmsunshine5312 жыл бұрын
Mr. Tony is telling the truth. Be careful of what you say you want because you may not be able to handle what comes with that "Man of God" position. There are some good ones out there for sure, but it takes God to cross your path with that man, if it's in God's will. Sometimes it is best to ask God for a man who demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit in his life. Some of these "Men of God" have double standards, meaning they want their future wife to be as perfect as possible and we all know perfection is impossible, but that's what many of them want in wives. So in many cases the average guy who may not be a preacher/pastor may be the best option for you.
@tenaforreal57422 жыл бұрын
The whole purpose to pray to receive a man who is sold out is bc he is not wavering back and forth between GOD & the world. This man will know or is learning how to rightly divide The Word and be led by The Holy Spirit- Praise GOD 🎉✝️🎊🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🤲🏼 I pray no one is deterred from praying and trusting that GOD will send a sold out man/husband to them. The Word tells us to be this very thing, both man & woman. We might not do it perfectly, but we've been charged to allow The Holy Spirit to do a mighty work in us bc we cannot do it alone. Hallelujah! GOD Bless you Brother Tony.

thank you for this revelation Tony. I’ve used this term often and I realize how this has even hurt my dating potential. I have discarded men because he didn’t seem godly enough because he didn’t believe in the same doctrines as my church leaders. When I think of a man of God, I think of a man who has a heart for Christ. I also realize that although I want a man of God, I don’t like overly religious men. Some men are so religious that Sunday’s are church, prayer and fasting day only. Don’t care if it’s anything else happening. He doesn’t celebrate Christmas or brings gifts because he calls it a pagan holiday because no one knows when Christ was born. He doesn’t believe in make up. The only fun you need is fun in church, no brunches or pot Lucks or hanging with friends. It’s work, home, prayer and Bible study and that’s it. That’s beautiful if that is your calling or ministry but I know it’s not for me. These days, I just want a man that loves God and that is trying daily, makes an effort every day to be a good man, good father, love others and love and honor his wife as he does Christ.

Mr Gaskins, with regard to an MOG hitting his wife because the Bible doesn’t prohibit it; actually the word says that a man must love his wife as Christ loves the church and must treat her as he would treat himself. So a man wouldn’t like another man hitting him and hurting his body and therefore he must not hit his wife for he would not like anyone else doing that to him… So I believe with respect that the MOG that Mr Gaskins is referring to is someone who doesn’t understand the word of God when it comes to love and the Lords instruction for a man. It’s like he just reads pages in the Bible and doesn’t understand what the Lord is saying like he doesn’t read with the spirit. 🙏🏽 When a man loves his wife as Christ loves the church and treats her as he wants himself to be treated he wouldn’t do ANYTHING to hurt her or that’s negative to her…

Hello Tony, for me sold out to God means having a relationship with God! God knows that we're not perfect, no not one but to have a relationship with the Lord means that anything that takes you from His focus, you will know that you should never be there, or do it. In my mind as I'm walking with Him, I represent Him everywhere I go. I wear workout gear, and am a curvy woman but one thing I don't do is get up and say let me wear this to entice a man, but if a man has a relationship with God, he's more focused on trying to stay focused on Him and immediately rebuke that spirit and get away from whatever can take him off of his journey. I see gorgeous men everyday but that don't mean I'm going to sleep with them because my flesh is under control with God. If we love God, we LIVE the word being imperfect and by that just like the Bible says (not verbatim)but we start off on milk but then there's the graduation phase which is now we're eating meat and there-in lies the relationship growth in God. We all will be held accountable for what we do and by going to God with everything, which he knows anyways but He loves to commune with us on every aspect of our journey. Growth in God is attainable, we just have to surrender and know that we have to walk this life like God is always there! Blessings... brother and Thank you for all that you do!!

I've never heard this phrase but a man 'sold to God' would be a Monk. His whole life is for God. We need a man who loves God and you'll know by his actions before you marry him. I've learnt not to ignore anything that doesn't look and feel right. That's our instincts kicking in. More often we ignore them to later feel it. As Tony would say, 'Let them go bout their business'.

Brother Tony often times I’ve stumbled because I wasn’t in the Word like I should have been so I couldn’t recognize the fruit. I don’t want a legalistic man, I want a man after the Lord’s heart. I’m striving to be a woman after the Lord’s heart. I want a man who has a conscience and doesn’t want to willfully or unwilling hurt me. I want a man that wants to do life together. But sometimes I do question men who place heavy emphasis on submission. To me a man that is constantly yelling submission might have control issues. As a woman I’m going to submit because we should submit one to another in marriage.

I want my man of God to pray with me. If he prays for me it's in his own private time. I want him to be kind, forgiving, slow to anger, considerate, communicates and hv some sense of vulnerability and loves God as his head of his life meaning he goes to God when he needs answers and a man that truly loves himself because that mean he won't tolerate nonsense and he won't give it out. Thanks Tony, this was interesting. I think when we women say "Man of God" we mean someone who is consecrated to God meaning he has a solid relationship with Jesus. A man who lives biblically and not by a denominations traditional interpretation of God's word. We women want a man who is dripping in that kingly priesthood like Abraham, Moses, or Paul. We know we are not going to get a perfect man, but a real one. Now any man out here shaming and condemning a woman with the word of God is NOT a man of God. He's a religious man abiding by his own selfish will. And a man who is beating on a woman is a coward!

Thank you... another variation of the issue is that it is still possible to meet men to whom church is all they know.of life with God... no concept of much of anything but what they can't do outside... Covid exposed a lot of people like that... someone I once loved was destroyed and I would have been trying to pick up all the pieces to that hollow shell... beware!

Confirmation. I love how the Lord confirms His Word.

I understand what you're saying, but this is why it's so important to study the Bible. Being religious or a good man vs being a Man of God are 2 different things. A Man of God studies the Word, obeys it because he is in love with God. It's that love that transforms his character because he is modeling God's character - slow to anger, patience, kindness, etc.

There’s men like that. I only met two men of God who were very serious about their walk with the Lord. It’s not a game. Both men and women of God have to be consecrated to God. It’s a sacrifice 🔥❤️
