Yes, that’s a great idea. This is the solution for those wearing rings that have that gap. I personally would not choose a engagement ring that I cannot independently wear a wedding band by itself. That’s my personal preference, but this is a fantastic idea.

What do you think about open gap rings? My set is a princess cut solitaire 2.5 carat with a 5 diamond eternity in 1.5 carat. They aren’t as flush as I would like and wonder if a open gap ring is a good alternative to close some of the gap and also avoid any hitting on the prongs.

I think it depends on your preference/lifestyle. 😊 The bride prefers always wearing her wedding set together (and not separately). Some people like to wear their ring + band together or separately. We have both or one of each if someone can't decide 😂❤🎉

Brilliant design concept! I really dislike "gapiosis" with wedding sets. In my case, I wear a traditional 6 prong 2ct solitaire similar to the one you show at the 5.10 mark. I have 2 carat eternity bands on either side for the stacking effect. They have a nearly perfect flush sit because of the design of the solitaire. Not having any intention of giving up this set that commemorates my 25 (now 27+) years of marriage, if your design concept had been available I'd have jumped on it! Enjoyed this video Bonnie!
