I'm all Homekit except for my Ring Pro 2 which has worked flawlessly for the last couple of years. Today, given the choice, I would purchase this Ecobee. The Homekit integration, though you still need a subscription for saved videos, is worth it for me. I do like the compactness of my Ring Pro 2.

Just got it and so far I’ve had to get a new 16v 30va transformer and a WiFi extender. It doesn’t connect to HomeKit and I’ve been on with ecobee tech support for hours. The doorbell does look nice. But wanted it for HomeKit. Buyer beware.

I use my original mechanical door chime with my Ring Pro 2. No electronic sounds. I'm sure you can adjust the settings with this device as well.

No mounting hardware for lap siding. Why do so many of these new “smart” doorbells have such dumb physical design?

What's the lap measurement on you siding? i.e. exposure. It varies.
