I’m not where I want to be at 28. But I just accepted that I’m powerless over alcohol. I’ve screwed up plenty for the past 9-10 years. Went to jail for 90 days, lost my car, lost my drivers license, I broke so many relationships because of alcohol. I’d waste all of my money on alcohol. My body took a beating, not only from the alcohol but also from how I’d always be falling while drunk. I’d wake up in dirt fields with my face in the dirt and bugs biting me all over in triple digit heat. I’ve had over 40 jobs at the age of 28. But it’s not over till it’s over. I’m 2 weeks sober, I just started a job at McDonald’s. Had to walk for a bit but upgraded to scooter. What I’ve realized is that there is no right timeline for when you’ll get your life on track. Everyone’s lives are just too different from one another for it to be so rigid. You can lose everything at 40 and regain it all at 44 or 57. You can lose your way at 18 and get back on course at 28 like me. It really doesn’t matter as long as you find a way to move past your roadblocks. If there’s a will, there’s a way. It may be difficult at times but even if you only move an inch a day, it’s still better than nothing or going backwards. I didn’t who I was back then or where I was going but now I know who I am and where I’m going. As long as you’re working towards something and keep moving, you’re not a failure. Learn from your mistakes in life and celebrate your victories, no matter how big or small.

Beautifully put mate. What a story hey.. Good to hear you're on the right track now. Self awareness I reckon is everything and sounds like you've got that.. Age is but a number and we're all on a journey of self discovery, as you said; it can happen at any age and any period in your life. Thanks for the detailed comment ✊

I am 38 and have been jobless for some time despite all my efforts. But the most painful thing is that my mother constantly calls me a failure. Glad I found some relief through your videos. Thanks man

might be time to surround yourself with different people maybe.. You dont want people talking to you like that when it might be already hard to block that negativity out from your own mind.. cheers for the comment mate

For me 40+ was the time to start pushing it and turn it on. Everything before then was exploring, preparing and creating the momentum / consistency. Creating the foundation to succeed.

Totally agree mate, i feel the same. We all mature at different times of life so everyone is not the same.. but yeh those first few decades you can do a lot of experimenting and start finding what works for you.. then as you say you can start pushing it hard.

Glad I clicked your video. I think, or hope, that your positive message resonates with other men as it has done for me today. Perhaps I can reflect hope for you as well. I just turned 67 and am at what feels like the biggest crossroad of my life. My marriage is dissolving and I'm unhappy living away from my home country. My wife doesn't want to move and is unsupportable regarding any new venture I now want to pursue. I'm reasonably fit and motivated to try something new that may or may not succeed, but I need to try. My message is basically yours, in that it's never too late to try. Thank you for the lifting and inspiring message today.

thanks for the detailed comment mate, much appreciated.. Sounds like you might be ready for the next stage of your life, which is super exciting. Either way you have to do whats best for YOU, sometimes that may mean you have to make some uncomfortable/hard decisions, but if something continues to "niggle" at you that you want more, i feel you have to go for it.. But i hear; its certainly not easy.. Good luck with it all 👌
