You can tell trending is garbage by the fact that it only has about 2 videos that you actually think would be interesting. The community of KZbin is usually split into 3 chategories: comedy/vlogging, DIY, and gaming. You should be able to find around 10 videos you enjoy on trending, just because that’s how most users consume content, but since it is a huge advertisement you see none.

I love the sub feed for being chronological. If I want to see what KZbin recommends to me, I'll go to the home tab. KZbin doesn't care about content creators or KZbinrs. They care about getting views from external sources, like Google search results and viral Twitter and Facebook links.

KZbin really, *really* needs a competitor right now. Seriously, that's the reason that some of its users (especially the KZbinrs left like Filthy Frank), it's been going like crap for years now. Since 2013, when they changed the layout it is the beginning of an end of this site. Why, it's because the comment section nowadays becomes a cesspool of hateful and cringy comments. When they put out the first nail, is the severely flawed Content ID system that ruined the subs of all youtubers and shoving us Google+ all over our faces. It's now 2018, from the new update after the Logan Paul incident. When you need 1000 subs & 4000 hours of watchtime. Choking all of the smaller channels out of the window, that they have so much potential in the site. Also, most youtubers i've watched last their membership because of that. I really hope someone out there that it can put an end of once respected and our entertainment site called KZbin to hell.

My recommendation feed is garbage. I've watched hundreds of Rooster teeth videos, I've subbed and turned on notifications, and frequently like their videos. Not ONCE have I recieved a notification for their content. And I rarely see them in my recommendations. What never fails to show up is fortnite and buzzfeed. I've clicked not interested in tons of buzzfeed videos, but apparently that's what I need to see. I watch one fortnite video and now they flood my inbox.

I’m a full time KZbin streamer and this change has just about killed my channel. I used to get an average of 2K-5K viewers for the duration of my streams but that number dropped down to less than 300 overnight due to this change. I’m honestly so sad I could cry. Everyone' has probably seen algorithms do crazy things on youtube before, like drive insane traffic to channels and videos out of nowhere and also hurt channels by not promoting them as they do others. I'm sure there is "some" good in what they are doing but now there is the added risk that your videos can spiral out of visibility when the algorithm deems your content to no be popular. The sub box was the one thing left that gave everyone a fair chance to be seen.

Sadly this is my same view too. Do this test: logout, delete all your cookies and navigation history so youtube has no datas about your preferences, then go on the youtube main page and tell me what you see. Do you see any independent creator being suggested on there? I can't. Literally all i see is 100% CBC, CBS, CNN, BBC, fox news, buzzfeed, etc. This pretty much sums up where they want youtube to be in the future.
