Idea: If you see a player-height shadow on your wall, DO NOT TURN OFF THE LIGHTS!!! Source: a girl was playing on a server with a beautiful house and an amazing light system that turns the lights on and off. She starts taking some sweet time in her pool when suddenly she sees a shadow on the wall, then it instantly disappears. She turns off the lights in the pool area and leaves to go mining. She returns to find the light in the pool area missing and she replaces it. While farming, decorating the house and sleeping, she keeps catching glimpses of the shadow on her walls and gets scared so she turns off the lights so she can't see the shadow. Eventually she tries turning the lights on again to find they are all gone and she's stuck in complete darkness as the night hasn't turned to day yet. She then walks through her house and finds signs saying, "ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?" and eventually "YOU ARE FINISHED". She tries running away, only to run smack into a dark, blood-stained entity with a scary red face and get jumpscared with a message saying, "WELCOME TO THE SHADOWS" and her account crashes. When she tries to log back in, it says "account is lost to the shadows" and she's too scared to start a new account and play Minecraft again. She later researches online, finding an article describing the same experience and learns that if she didn't turn off the lights in the first place, he would've gotten sick of the light and left her alone for good.
