You could tell Paul knew that groper was stuffed, but it wasn't his call. He tried to soften the blow by justifying the release technique, but it really shouldn't have been included in the video. Sacrificing a top eating fish to only catch one of the biggest pests in the ocean??? That fish was probably born in the 80s too... Very unusual content for this channel.

This was in the investigator strait where they're completely protected, that's why they released it. There should really be more rules on what techniques you're allowed to use in order to better protect them, like there are for Murray cod.
