Yumo . Nice squid 🦑 sister. The old crab 🦀 net trick. Glad you’re doing that. Ps my favourite squid jag is called desquid. Check them out. I picked a few up from the tackle shop in victor harbour. I like the pink 1 and the gold 1 awesome jags. A little x ie but hay can’t take it with you. ? Sat on the new deck yet??

Love the crab net. Takes the anxiety out of bringing the squid in 😏. Thanks for the jog tips. Will check them out! Not been on the deck yet. You have beaten me to it 😅

@@fishingsister just talking to my wife to book a week there after the holidays. We did stay at Corny point last year but the water was way too rocky and rough for fishing. So we headed to Point Turton for the day and caught some good size squid there. Gotta love SA 👌

@@fishingsister , unfortunately we do not have an abundance of kiwi fruit. The wife and I use white spirit vinegar. Which we purchased at the local grocery.
@Martin.B.2 жыл бұрын
@@riazsheik3616 does that tenderize the squid also?
@riazsheik36162 жыл бұрын
@@Martin.B. Im sure whether it Tenderizer the squid meat or not. But it works for us special on our camping trips. To soak it overnight in vinegar spirits.
@marky9810 Жыл бұрын
I use kiwi fruit to tenderise meat like steak etc. Green kiwifruit contains a natural enzyme called Actindin that breaks down protien makes it tender and soft.
@fishingsister Жыл бұрын
Thank you for that explanation. I will add it to my notes. I never thought of steak, but it does make sense. I'll give it a go👍

Nice squid. I have also seen someone using a Squid gaff as well that is extendable. Light weight and might be easier to pack if you're not taking crab nets with you. Thanks for the video.

Head to brown beach sometime fish are waiting for the bait all the time if tide is good
@fishingsister2 жыл бұрын
We have tried Browns beach a couple of times with no success. It is definitely a beach we want to catch a fish on. Perhaps next time we are on the Yorke Peninsula we might give it another shot. Thanks for the comment :). Have you fished Browns?
@kulrai89782 жыл бұрын
@@fishingsister yes I did but have you walked all the way down to right side of the beach for about 20 mins to cast haha very hard hate stepping that far ,but it definitely worth and fun catching

Once when we fished at Marion Bay the squid were umping out of the water trying to swallow our floats, they were huge and we caught about 12 in a day. Must really get back down there one day.

Nice to see a hand line.
@fishingsister Жыл бұрын
We find it's good to have a couple of hand lines on a jetty. We call them "lazy squids" because there is no effort. It's easier than carrying rods and they are easy to use off a jetty👍
@DIEmicrosoft Жыл бұрын
@@fishingsister Yeah rods can be a pita.

What's the fishing like there in november?
@fishingsister2 жыл бұрын
Hi Malcolm we have not been there in November but apparently the fishing is good year round. Winds should be a lot better then. Have you been to Yorkes before? It is such a beautiful place
@kevinaldred53032 жыл бұрын
Why don't you eat the tentacles... they are really the best part ... keep the tendrils for bait the rest you eat flaps and all ... keep the heads for crab bait and nothing is wasted
@fishingsister2 жыл бұрын
Good question....we normally would eat the tentacles but as you can see we had way too much squid for dinner and we did not have much bait for the next couple of days. So we used some for bait.
