I love just fishing with my top kit, and now I've just switched over to slik in 2 of my kits 8-10 and 10-12 and its made a big difference in getting the fish out in front of me from the margin. I fished a small pond that's rammed full of carp from 2lb to 15lb at a place at ingoldmells called the elms caravan park and, i had over 350lb in 5-6 hours with just my topkit fishing 10-12 slik with a jigga and 6mm pellets but i ended up locking the jigger in place at 6" with a 0.20 mainline to 0.13 bottom,lost 1 or 2 but managed to land pretty much everything with that set up. I'll be putting slik in all my topkits now I've got used to it.

cheers aiden great tips m8 what size and pattern hook was you using with the 4mm expander ? as it would need to be durable if not using a hook length

It's a size 16 MXC-1 hook.

How would you tackle a deep margin. I.e. 3ft against bank sloping down to 5ft. Near vertical slope mate

Aidan. Good points about FOUL hookers. Question is that bulk shot in or off the bottom? Is it a bolt rig on the bottom, or not? Thanks RB.

what are the short legs on foot plate? do matrix sell them i cant seem to find them on the website

They are S36 legs that have been cut shorter.
