I am a little surprised they are still using J type hooks. Given they are tagging the sharks for preserving the species why wouldn’t they use circle hooks? Great Video all the same and what a place to live and fish!!!!!

They didn’t know until they got back in. I have fished this competition multiple times, if they did know how big the sharks that were getting weighed were they would have killed it.

@@briansniffin2719 , I don't think that's accurate. They said, "There's one prize for the biggest mako actually landed...[then also] he who tags the most wins..." So there are multiple prizes.
