Definitely a good starter drone for people like myself, who haven't gotten into FPV yet. The digital setup allows the eventual step-up in quad spec. to be cheaper, knowing that you don't need to purchase another set of goggles, or controller

Hey it's an old video but i have the dji goggles v2 and the "old" black bulkier DJI fpv remote control. Would you recommend the a85 hd? Or something else in the same price range? I heard good things but worried about the camera when it gets a little darker

Would you recommend this, the beta75 (or85) or the p16? Which is the smallest, best one, especially for beginners? Want to be able to fly in backyard and maybe inside a little. Also if i buy one that has frsky receiver, can you still use the dji controller? I’m asking because Amazon only has them with the extra receivers

Obviously digital is the way to go. The recordings off of this look great. I started by buying a radio master and regret i didn't go straight to digital. Will save up and get the DJI.

You still can use your Radiomaster with the DJI system, get either the TBS Crossfire Micro starter kit or the TBS Tracer Micro Starter kit

@c G you need to put a receiver in your quad to use the radiomaster, but you can't do that with the dji fpv quads.

Flying in the yard and through the house is the best. Nice one. You think there is a better DJI whoop? Was close to getting the Rocket Lite till I found the A85. You have both. Which would you buy as your first explorer digital quad? Probably put a Nebula pro on this guy. A85 seems to have a little longer flight time from what I can gather on YT. Keep it up. I really like your reviews. Beginner friendly. BTW, does it have a buzzer. Gotta have that for such a small quad.

There should be a little bind button on the Vista unit in the quad. Press that and press the recessed button on the goggles with a toothpick or something, and they should bind.

Sort of... it has Angle mode, Horizon mode, and Acro mode, which are kind of like beginner to advanced modes, but it will not hover on its own, like the DJI FPV drone. You have to actively adjust the throttle at all times.

I'm wondering If I should get into Digital whooping for the reasons you mentioned: flying around the yard and neighborhood is the only option available with 2 little kids and a full time job :-) The whoop seems to have a decent flight time and is safe. Thanks for the comment Michael. I have not tried the Beta85x. But digital whooping is very doable in smaller space. And any quad with this much protection around the props will be pretty safe to fly in that environment.

A simulator is a great way to start out, but there's nothing like real-world flying, and this little quad is a perfect beginner/indoor option.

I actually thought the footage from the drone looked a little better than the Insta 360.

Yeah - they are pretty different. The Insta360 is warmer (more yellow) and more stable. But the Nebula is sharper.
