I am a little cornfused. Most handheld taranis TX have digital signals? You can get a drone with digital camera and reciever? Most goggles receive an analog signal? So, what you need to go digital are goggles and a drone that has digital video and rx? The taranis will connect to the digital drone? I assume you would need a digital protocol?
@CAPTAINDRONE7984 жыл бұрын
John, the connection between radio and drone is dependant on RECEIVER used in drone. In the modern age we say ANALOG and DIGITAL when it comes to the FPV hobby simply for the purpose of the FPV Camera system, and inclusion or lack of a receiver. If no receiver is included we refer to the DJI FPV Radio as part of the DJI FPV Digital system.

Hi Captain Drone, This is Sam from Ottawa. I purchased the iFlight 85A HD with the Nebula DJI Caddx Vista system. I have it up and running and everything seems OK. The only thing that I can’t seem to figure out is why I a can’t change the Bitrate and the Latency in the Transmission option. They are both disabled. I’ve done the FCC hack by using the naco.txt and the naco_pwr.txt files and I’m able to change the power mode up to 1200mw, but I still can change the bitrate and latency. Would you happen to have any suggestions as to how to enable these options? Thanks.
@CAPTAINDRONE7984 жыл бұрын
Perhaps the hack didn't fully work. I just leave mine as is. I tried the hack when it first came out but it was cumbersome as each time there is an update, you have to do it again, and I have a pile of FPV drones. Also, since this is the CADDX VISTA system... perhaps that may be the issue.
@samavella88314 жыл бұрын
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thanks for getting back to me. I ended up figuring it out. It was totally my mistake. I was applying the naco.txt file to the goggles and not to the Vista Unit. My new Alpha A85 arrived and I've been having trouble connecting to betaflight and changing the props. I connected to the DJI assistant, activated it and updated the drone and that went well. I installed the STM USB VCP drivers from the link you posted in Episode 10 of your beginner series, but it still won't connect. It flies out of the box once linked to the goggles and radio, but I would like to change a few things. Any ideas about what I should check? Do I need to install more of the betaflight drivers for this flight controller? My second problem is difficulty changing the props. Flying it I have crashed it several times and the leading edge of two of the props are damaged. I took the two screws out but the prop won't seem to come off. I'm afraid of using too much force on this tiny drone and I've checked youtube and there doesn't appear to be any tutorials out there on how to do it. Is there a trick to doing this because they are way different than the props on my 5in drones. You are a font of FPV knowledge, any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
@CAPTAINDRONE7984 жыл бұрын
When it comes to getting BETAFLIGHT to work on your computer, I can't help for obvious reasons (I'm not a worldwide computer tech of every model and configuration). My only advice is that if you think you have done everything correct with installing drivers, rebooting your computer, then the issue may very well be your USB cable that you are connecting to your drone. Some cables are designed to charge and others are designed to pass DATA two ways. You may be using one designed to charge.

@CAPTAINDRONE7984 жыл бұрын
Do you have a spotter regulation for when you wear goggles? What I mean is if someone is your eyes, are you permitted to fly? Do you have a weight rule (250 grams)? That is how it is in Canada for drones 250 grams and over. If you put on goggles, you need a spotter for the heavier drones, or you just go fly in a location where there are no humans, and then all is fine.
@robweaver10754 жыл бұрын
CAPTAIN DRONE No, they generally don’t allow spotters, either. A lot of FPV fliers ignore the rules and put their videos on the tube, but as a licensed pilot I can’t argue ignorance. @@GAMESTERVISION Do you remember the days of camera on the market and MEGAPIXELS? Back then there were plenty of crap cameras with high megapixels and people bought them due to thinking more was better. Same is true with range. You have to think of the "quality" of the range. DJI has updated the Mavic 2 pro so that it has the same crazy range as the Mavic Air 2 (it's just a software update). You'll never use the range because the range is fictional. In order to obtain the range you have to live in the desert with no one around and a straight directional link to the drone. You could fly in your backyard and only get 400 meters in range before interference comes. The Mavic Air 2 is the BEST drone in its price range, in other words... if that is all you can afford, you are getting a great drone, but don't think for one minute that you are getting a better drone than the $1400 Mavic 2 Pro.

Can you do me a favor? I don’t know how to bind my alpha a85 hd to my dji goggles v2 and dji controller v1. Or even how to set it up to just get flying. Asking to make a vid is a bit much but can you at least tell me how to bind them all as I’m not the best with these things

Is that a new Intro? It looks cool!

Thanks! I just play around with openings to see what I like. The only item that is common on most is the new Captain Drone logo shown just prior to the video starting (still working on that).

Could you explain the different types of whoop in a vidio and what it means as iv no idea lol
@CAPTAINDRONE7984 жыл бұрын
The whoop was a name given to a really tiny FPV drone long ago. When they made the drone really large and added with a camera that can film, they called it a Cine-Whoop. When they made it Digital, they called it a Digi-Whoop or Digital-Whoop.

As usual cap your reviews are fantastic ... Can you pls help me get into fpv .I have seen your series but you see... Would like your help in my first setup
@CAPTAINDRONE7984 жыл бұрын
The FPV FOR BEGINNERS series was designed to get people in the hobby. In one of the videos I mention that it is next to impossible to help someone having problems setting things up because their are so many steps and configurations that are out there. If you use the same gear as in my video and do exactly what I do, then life is easy.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I do not mean that i am a complete beginner... I know abt drones theoretically but have no experience abt it practically.... See fpv in India here is very pricy... So wondering if you could help me out. Sooo yeah thats it

Curious if anyone has transferred the guts to another top mount battery frame that will fit the vista cam(my Nebula sucks and I hate it lol 😆). Cool vid btw, wish I had a friend with one to fly around with. Wish I had a friend period lollll

👍191 I wish you all a nice day! I think this is also a perfect little digital Fpv drone, it can be suitable for everyone if you want fpv in this category! Content-rich video recording on the subject and very correct in all respects, so it’s worth a huge like in every picture! More successful video recordings and flying, creative work and strength of health for everyone!👆🌞👍🥽🎮✈️

Wow those Goggles are pricey, £525 UK Pounds. Ouch :o(
@CAPTAINDRONE7984 жыл бұрын
When it comes to FPV, the GOOGLES are where you want to spend the cash. The great news is that you only do this once and never again. FPV pilots usually have top of the line Googles in the ANALOG field or DIGITAL field.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I'm only learning at the moment on the very basic Emax pilot, still amaze myself at how much fun even that is, and how it survives some of the crashes i put it through.

It's so utterly different from regular quad flying (filming) it seems you need to have the reaction time of a fly.
