Nice review. I just got the titan xl5 HD frame a month ago and can’t wait to get it built and flown. Need set of motors tho. Stuck grounded for now I guess.

Hi mate. Somebody sold me the frame with some bits and pieces but i don't know the proper size and specification of the battery. Are you able to share the correct size and specification of the battery you are using to give a decent flight time and power?

+1👍6mm arms for the win 💪 i've ended up double-stacking arms on my old XL7 v3 that had 4mm arms. I'm still using the underpowered 2407, but they push 6" props well.

Great review, is it fine if I use 5 or 6 inch propellers on this frame ? will it give me the same performance as using a 7inch prop?
@dilankaweerasinghe88573 жыл бұрын
With 5" props you would get worse performance due to vibrations and weight.

Yeasss going to order it and convert my XL7 V4 into it. Was even tempted to buy a XL5 frame and use longer arms but this neon yellow is easier to find if you crash 😂😂

I just can't get over how heavy it is. They should make a version with just the X that is sub 100g so you can fit a naked vista and 50A 25x25 aio.
@TorbanDallas3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's heavy but it's also stiff and massive. Other light weight frames are not that stiff, the arms are transmitting frame resonances and the quad starts vibrating and shaking. I can live with the extra weight in order to get a smooth flying quad without frame resonance issues. Did you see my video about the HL7 compared to the XL7? There you will see what i'm talking about - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gamzmqyghdeorK8 Another example, here i have compared the Rooster Frame to the Chameleon, here only a different bottom construction causes a lot of vibrations and resonance issues kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWe5Z5mHfbKbgck

6mm arms. Without the TPU parts it saves a lot of weight but yeah 6mm arms are quite heavy
@changeagent2283 жыл бұрын
@@TorbanDallas Yes I have enjoyed watching lots of your videos. I don't disagree about frame resonance but I also don't think the only solution is a stonking great big frame. Maybe we could try a tubular design and or rubberised isolation of the arms. I would even consider a monoplate perhaps even thicker at 8mm. Adding weight can stabilise sure that's why running a heavy battery especially say a 6s2p 21700 850g for long range will often stop some resonances.

Good review as always, Hi man, I've always refer to you for any GPS rescue video but, no DJI system experience for me to refer to on the net. Your channel is most informative if it is about GPS recue. Can you make content about DJI system GPS rescue?

Hi, are the propellers visible when I plug in gopro 8, video recording. I would appreciate if you tell me about your performance. i love fast devices I'm undecided about FR7. Thank you so much.
@TorbanDallas3 жыл бұрын
Hi, depending on your gopro angle and your gopro fow setting you will see the propellers in the bottom of your gopro video - you can also check some of my XL7 flight videos, there i did use a Runcam 5 and a GoPro7 Hero Black, the front of the XL7 and XL7 V5 is pretty identical so that you can excpect a similar result regarding the propellers and the field of view.

Hmm ..so what's the point of this frame Torban? They already sell the Titan Chimera7 LR ....😲🤔
@TorbanDallas3 жыл бұрын
The Chimera is probably the better Long Range Frame for creating cinematic shots without any props in the field of view of your FPV and Action Camera, and you can even mount a vertical antenna. The XL7 is a true X-shaped frame, well balanced - perfect for freestyle.

Torban you dead? last video 6 months ago? :O
@TorbanDallas3 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for asking, I'm not dead, but I'm taking a break. Creating fpv content and testing new stuff took a lot of time and money. I don' have any new stuff for testing or any ideas about what I could do next. All in all, I have been at a point where I was only creating content and testing new stuff without spending time flying FPV. Honestly, I have actually lost fun flying my quads. Maybe I will be back sometime, or maybe I will even sell all my FPV equipment. All good things must come to an end.

@@TorbanDallas well I also got a girlfriend this year (no kidding) and fly less... I am wondering if I will have enough material for 2021 compilation :) ...Don't give up man; it was fun watching your videos, especially that R9M firmware testing and foxeer box crashing :) Maybe a suggestion... make a 3 inch lightweight drone (fpvcycle 13mm motors), and you will find joy again in this hobby; it really is a new world. It is quiet, batteries need 2 minutes to charge and it is really fun fun.
