You're missing the point though. that ice at the bottom is not just normal ice, it's ancient, millions of years old, and it tells a fascinating history of this planet. Someone said this was 93 meters. It took about 29 seconds for the camera to "seemingly" free fall (assuming the camera wasn't just lowered and the clip sped up). With a gravitational acceleration of 32.17405 feet per second per second, the camera reached a velocity of 523.5 km/h or roughly 345 mph, so about halfway to Mach 1. I kinda woulda liked to have seen it smash into the ice. That woulda been fun. I think the "warping" effect may have just been the camera failing to rapidly adjust to match the speed.
