G'day, Nathan mate. I am glad KZbin suggested your video to me. I am a hobbyist filmmaker and avid live-streamer who, three years ago, began my KZbin channel and haven't looked back. I love the entire content creation process, learning new things and meeting like-minded folks like your good self. Happy to support a fellow AUSSIE. I'm looking forward to sharing future b videos with you. Cheers from Spike on the Westside of our great country.

Thanks for the kind comment here and on IG! Looking forward to seeing some of your content.
Good to see you back again. This slider looks great too, I've been thinking of getting one so it was great to hear your thoughts. And that spoken word shoot looked great!

I have a motorized slider but your slider seems much more compact and easy to set up. In addition to a tripod I need two monopods to support the ends of the slider.
@YourStoryStudios2 жыл бұрын
Yes this slider is compact and quick to setup! You don't even need to pair it to your phone to set a and b points! The slider gives me enough movement to make it worth setting up, but isn't too big that it's a pain to use.

Thanks for the review! When the slider is mounted on a tripod, does the camera dip at the ends of the slide?
@YourStoryStudios2 жыл бұрын
Great question! No it doesn’t from my experience. The slider is solid enough to not bend 👍
@arhon8882 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing. Does the slider move any faster. I would personally need a faster movement than the examples shown.
@YourStoryStudios2 жыл бұрын
Yes it does. I like subtle movement, but if you set it too fast it can get a little shakey.

Amazing video, can you talk a bit more about how you matched up your color grading so well? Especially in the church podcast with the different cameras.
@YourStoryStudios2 жыл бұрын
In the church podcast I just shot everything in S-Cinetone and did a white balance. I also have a plug-in called CineMatch which is helpful in matching different cameras 👍
@adventureedit57762 жыл бұрын
@@YourStoryStudios Oh I see. What was your reasoning behind S-Cinetone in comparison to all of the other Picture Profiles that you can choose from?
@YourStoryStudios2 жыл бұрын
@@adventureedit5776 I wanted to use the same picture profile across all three cameras. Now I pretty much only shoot S-Log3 because I prefer the control in post.

THANK you! I searched 30min for only one shot in interview-scenario on whole youtube! :D thx !!! I was not sure if the 320mm is enough for interviews. but like your opinion: it gives more quality to the whole shot. thx. =)

Found this review super helpful. A lot of what I have seen are just influences sharing the product, but nothing from professionals in real-world situations and comparing with larger alternatives. It's been a while since you posted this, wondering if you are still using it or have moved onto a different slider?

I do use this slider from time to time, but not regularly. I have noticed that the slider can look like it will give micro-jitters, but it doesn't always show up in the footage, depending on if I have stabilisation on in my camera. It is really convenient to setup and use, but a lot of my projects don't call for it these days.

Dude, good to see you back! I just saw Chris Brockhurst's video on this and then yours. Really appreciate seeing the slider used in a couple of different professional jobs as well as hearing feedback from others. I'd consider this a proper review and not just a 'first impressions' as you were so thorough! Where did you get it from in Aus?
@YourStoryStudios3 жыл бұрын
I left a few things out like battery life and the tripod setup so didn’t want to label it a review 😉 I got mine from Videoguys in Melbourne. They were out of stock but are being produced again which is good to see. I may pick up another one in the future for multiple moving shots on my multi cam shoots!

There are some serious questions around not just this slider but the reviews of the slider that I have seen. I must have watched ten reviews and apart from the one by "Gerald Undone" none of them seem to even touch on the slider's ability to do an "A to B and STOP" move. Every single one of them focus on a 'LOOP'. I have to ask why that is. Are we to believe they all just forgot? Gerald Undone points out a serious issue with this slider. It cannot come to a 'gradual' stop. It has a 'linear' movement when doing an A-B-STOP move and then comes to a sudden shot ruining STOP!!! Gerald did say that this was an issue that could potentially be sorted with a firmware upgrade but as yet I cannot find another reviewer even mentioning the issue never mind confirming whether or not the issue was now resolved. If anyone can answer this for me that would be great.

@@themartinhawkins 👍👍Thank you. Now all we need to make this slider worth the high price tag is the ability to program the 'slide' and 'pan' independently. I bought it since posting that comment by the way. It's a great bit of kit and I love it, but iFootage could just, dot the 'i's' and cross the 'T's' if they wanted to make this a truly great slider. It's Fireware thing is what's frustrating about it. I guess they think that might detract from their other products. Personally I disagree I don't think it would.
