iForester: The Smartphone Forester

Purdue University's Institute for Digital Forestry developed the IForester smartphone app to allow any user to measure tree characteristics with a phone.
The app provides:
Accurate tree measurements and locations.
Diameter at breast height (DBH)calculation - standard measure that foresters and ecologists use to categorize tree size.
Diameter at any location tapped along the trunk calculation.
