Is he topper in IFoS or overall AIR ? My gut feeling is too good . He has very comprehensive knowledge of subject. Sad there are only three panel members instead of five conventional panel members. Yes, you are eligible to appear for the Indian Forest Service (IFoS) examination with a BSc degree in Biotechnology, provided you have studied Botany and Zoology as elective subjects in your second and third year. As per the eligibility criteria for the IFoS examination, a candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in one of the following subjects: Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Zoology, or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering from a recognized university. Since you have studied Botany and Zoology as electives in your BSc degree, you fulfill the eligibility criteria for the IFoS examination. However, it is always advisable to carefully go through the latest official notification of the examination to ensure that you meet all the eligibility requirements before applying for the exam. Hey! Rohini Hope you are doing well! Yes, an Environmental Engineer is eligible to appear for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) exam if they meet the eligibility criteria set by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The eligibility criteria for the IFS exam include: Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962. Age Limit: The candidate must be between 21 and 32 years of age as of 1st August of the year in which they are appearing for the exam. Age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to certain categories. Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the following subjects: Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry or Engineering. So, if an Environmental Engineer has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, they can be eligible for the IFS exam provided they meet the other eligibility criteria as well.
