I think its not about how well u know about forest its about the overall knowledge to deal with anything which will happen in forest and its environment. Like tribal people issues, deforestation, planning various schemes, etc. which requirs a wide range of knowledge

IFoS is different exam that from cse. Recriutment of forest officer is done by different main exam and interview where as main exam is same in cse and forest service exam
