@IfWeGoTo2 жыл бұрын
Kilamanjaro is so on the list too!! Fuji isn’t too hard to get to from Tokyo luckily!! And flights to Tokyo have been getting more and more affordable. Before the pandemic they had a $99 flight from HNL that was planned and just about to start. Not anymore but, maybe they’ll pick that back up one of these days.

Great vlog. Useful to me to plan my upcoming trip. Could I know which bus did u take to go Kawaguchiko? No problem to put luggage’s? Thanks
@IfWeGoTo Жыл бұрын
Hi!! That's awesome you have a trip coming up! I hope you love it! I am not sure which exact bus we took, I think it might have been the Shinjuku expressway, but I don't remember for sure. I do know that it was from Tokyo Station directly to Kawaguchiko. Bags are not a problem on these tourist buses! They have a section underneath the seating area and as you get on the driver (or their assistant) will take your bag and give you a ticket to hold on to until you get to your destination. You can collect your bags at your stop! :) As an extra tip, I would bring valuables, breakables, or electronics with you as a "carry on" type item. Japan is very safe, but all of the bags get put below and you don't want your stuff squished!

Can you give a time stamp for the exact shot? If I remember correctly I think oishi park was right on the lake, so the area that would have boats, but I want to make sure 🤗

Lovely video! We are trying to do the same route this October, however my partner just recently learnt how to bike so this trail is sounding too ambitious a beginner. How long did it take for you and was is too tiring ? I understand it depends on if you are used to biking often too but wanted to get a general idea of difficulty level
@IfWeGoTo3 ай бұрын
Ahh awesome! It will be a lively time to visit! I think it was relatively easy and flat, a few hills but nothing too steep. They have e-bikes available and they do the hard work for you, makes it super easy!! :) though I’d do a quick lap around a quiet area because they can feel a little unwieldy if you haven’t ever been on one! (It’s quick to learn but takes off a bit faster than you’d expect lol) To bike around without filming maybe takes half a day. For perspective: Alan’s mom who was in this video is in her 60’s and did just great!! How are you on your balance?? Most of the trail has a dedicated path around the lake, but some parts require you to bike on the road. People are respectful and it’s easy, but something to be aware of if you’re afraid of falling.

Hello. Looks amazing. We are a family of 4 with 2 younger kids and no car, unfortunately. Do you think we can stay there for 3 days and just take the public transportation and bikes to site see?
@IfWeGoTo Жыл бұрын
Hi Hang!! I think it would be absolutely doable! There are buses that run around the lake and it is a very walkable area too! As far as having young kids on bikes, there are some roads you may need to bike on depending on where you go. None were very busy when we went, but I would be very careful with small children... or perhaps call ahead to a few bike shops to see if they have one of those bike trailers you can put kids in. :) Hope you have an amazing trip! :D If theres anything else we may be able to help with, feel free to reach out anytime!

When you guys arrive at a site/restaurant, where do you leave/park your bikes? Do you have to lock them up?
@IfWeGoTo Жыл бұрын
We would leave them in designated bike parking areas or in spots where other people were leaving them! The bikes came with locks so we did lock them, but we didn’t have to lock them to anything. Japan is pretty safe and it would be highly unlikely it would be stolen even if entirely unlocked! Hope that helps!!

Ohh both are so lovely!! You can actually see Fuji from the Izu peninsula if both are on your bucket list. What time of year will you go?? If Autumn, Fuji is just incredible. So much fall foliage. Also would you prefer a quieter sea-side experience? Or a slightly busier mountain town?

@@IfWeGoTo That's so cool! We're going for sakura season next year! I'm not quite sure hahah I'd prefer quieter places I think but I'm bringing my parents and brother with me so this trip is mainly for them. My dad would enjoy a more luxurius place I believe.

@@QueenJaneway Ohh that is tough!! Where in the Izu Peninsula are you considering?? Honestly for a one time trip, I'd probably choose Kawaguchiko because it's SO iconic and very beautiful.
