Hi I'm texlaxed also but my hair was super puffy when the salon did a roller set ... I wanna try again with my current hair dresser but I'm afraid it won't work out .. What are ur tips to get good results with roller setting texlaxed hair? Thank u!
@TiffanyWilliams-rj7ul4 жыл бұрын
Gina D. Things that work for me are....deep conditioning...a good foam wrap that doesn’t dry out my hair. I like BB foam wrap because it give me shine...also sometimes Jane carter wrap & roll....because of the light weight feeling it gives my hair....I also use sometimes design essential almond & avocado foam wrap....and I use to use lotta body but stopped because of the crunchiness it made my hair...lol. But really any foam will work it just depends on what u are looking for. Key tips are to practice like crazy....I found the more I did it the better I got. Also....watching KZbin videos helped a lot. Also make sure u detangle and smooth your hair....doing so will improve your results drastically. Also I like to roller set with perm rods and flexirods. They are easier to control how snug the roller should be to get good results. Last, I prefer roller setting on blown out hair compared to wet hair. I found that process easier because the detangling part was done with the aid of the blow dryer and everything wasn’t so wet and messy where I couldn’t control how I wanted the hair to lay on the rollers. So once I found that out....I started doing dry roller sets. You can KZbin to see examples of how it’s done also. Hope that helped😊

@@TiffanyWilliams-rj7ul thank you so much ! This has definitely helped me out. All the things u named , my last hairstylist didn't do any of that and my hair was so dry and puffy 😭 I wanna stay away from flat irons as much as I can and use indirect heat more often . I love the volume and the look of rollersets and I think if I do more research on youtube like u said I can save time and money . And my hair seems to thrive when I learn to do things myself.. Its pretty cool to learn about dry rollersets. I think my hair will like that because I've done a Bantu knot out on dry, detangled hair and I loved the results, almost similar to getting a rollerset... And when I did a wet Bantu knot out, my hair was puffy, hmmmm 🤔 Thank u again for your helpful tips and good luck and continue success on your hair journey !! 😊

I need a healthy hair. Now Once i wash my hair after 5days of washing it becomes mega dry. Like its been stripped off moisture even after proper conditioning and creaming it. The root feels like i have serious undergrowth wen i am aywhere due for a relax. (1) What can i do to retain moisture cos if my hair is dry it breaks. 2ndly from your advice u texlax your hair say every 20wks (2) Within this period before your next texlax, how often do you wash your hair? Weekly? Fortnightly? Or monthly? (3) What products do u recomend for texturizing and which shampoo and conditioner do you recomend for frequent washing of the hair? As well as hair creams or oils. (4) Pls explain how u do a pretexlax routine with olive oil. And what is d benefit of this process. I am sorry i knw my questions are many😉

Hi Didi did you get answers to these questions?
@lolao88312 жыл бұрын
Moisture I would suggest Tresemme moisture conditioner. A bond builder: Olaplex no 3 Texlaxing is to do with less timing than relax hair. Example 12 mins this is applying the relaxer and then washing it out. Reduce smoothing out the hair too much. Detangle on a regular basis. Be careful how long you stretch your hair. What works for some is to only stretch for a months , do not try and go above what your hair can handle. Anti fizz and anti humidity hair products help. Rollerset is a plus and does work on texlaxed hair . Lots of hair guru on KZbin that rollerset their hair without a problem. They have volumn and full hair.. Books- on relax hair etc via Amazon People to watch as well 1. Uluvmegs 2.Hairlicious 3. Haireducation 4. Brianna Let me know if you want more names who can provide you with more info and demonstration as well.

Please, I can texlaxed my hair and stretch my hair same day??
@IfyOkoye4 жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely!! But I use a blow drier only. That’s the only time I get heat on my hair
@patrozette62114 жыл бұрын
Why is it difficult to roller set?
@IfyOkoye4 жыл бұрын
Straight hair is easier to roller set. Hair with more curl pattern is harder and limiting the amount of heat on your hair is important for hair growth too

Is it possible to texlax a very coarse hair?
@user-zx5xw4yw2e4 жыл бұрын
Yes it is. (Those are the ones that usually can use and want a texturizer).

Does text laxing have any side effect. Because it’s chemicals you add on it.
@IfyOkoye4 жыл бұрын
No side effect so far. It’s a safer option than relaxing in my opinion

Didi Agu yes steaming your hair weekly to help revive and strengthen it.

Well first u need to get to the root of why yr hair is weak and thinning. Get a check up. Find out whats going on inside yr body. That's first

Can I relax my hair first and then texlax my hair if I change my mind?
@IfyOkoye4 жыл бұрын
It’s safer to just texlax and not relax
@user-zx5xw4yw2e3 жыл бұрын
No! U can't do that. Once you get it bone straight it won't revert. You'd have to cut off the straight hair and start over with the new growth.
@highq90392 жыл бұрын
I accidentally Tex lazed my hair 😭💀 I just wanted to loosen my coils but instead I lost all my coils but kept the puff and volume. I miss my coils ☹️ I’ve been able to manage my hair much easier and I’ve been maintaining length but I really want my coils back.

@IfyOkoye4 жыл бұрын

The chemicals are the same. I wouldn't say it's safer, as it is the SAME chemicals--no difference. *Folk need to understand that.
