do you have to leave the actual obd cube in the plug thing under the dash for whenever u drive or can u unplug it and it will save sport plus into the car itself?
@improvedgarageАй бұрын
You only need to use it for the programming and then you can unplug it and the car will stay programmed. You may want to leave it plugged in for BimmerLINK which can give you sensor data like oil temp or coolant temp or stuff like that while youre driving, and if you do leave it plugged in all the time it doesnt hurt anything.

@ Okay thank you, Is it the same for bimmercode?

@@improvedgarage Okay thank you. And bimmercode has the oil and coolant temp too?
@improvedgarageАй бұрын
@@BigRat-fc1uq No, there are really 2 apps Bimmer code allows you to do coding (changes) to your car and is more of a programmer. Bimmerlink is an app that shows you live data about your car like sensor values, it cal also do some basic service functions like replacing your battery or resetting your oil cahnge indicator. Both use the same bluetooth module to connect to your car, the module only needs to be plugged in while you are using the app.
