The one I used will work for you OBD CX amzn.to/3b3324E and then you get the Bimmer Code app that works with it and boom. You'll love it. So easy and its been a year for me and works great, no issues

@@Zachus Thank you for the answer. I already bought OBDLINK MX+ (I chose this option because from what I understand, the connection is faster and it is compatible with many other car brands. I haven't tried yet. I'm waiting to take the car to BMW here on Wednesday and after I get it I'll get to work.

Hi bro.I have x5 f15 and i bought OBDLink CX and do some basing codind. Folding mirrors and performance logo on cluster. After coding with bimmercode i got lots of errors but later errors disappeared.I read article that i need bimmerlink to erase those erors or can i do it with OBDLink app. Tnx in advance!!

I have a 2022 bmw x5 sdrive 40i I’m leasing. I mainly wanna use the obd scanner and bimmer code app to keep my exhaust flaps open to make the car a little louder and was just wondering since it’s a newer car, if I use it would it harm the car in any way, cause any issues, or cause a check engine light? Just want to make sure it’s 100% safe before doing it since the car is a lease. Thanks

No not at all. Mine is 2022 X5 M and works great!! It's completely safe doesn't effect the car at all. Have fun. This is how the dealers code. I was concerned about all off this as well. Sorry I thought I mentioned all of this in the video

Hi, I can't see the "AUTO H" function. I want to activate that, do never I have to select that. I just want to keep that ON always (I use OBDLINK MX+).

What you see in Bimmer Code App is different for everyone based on the year/model of the vehicle and the OBD link which the MX+ is the best I believe so you should be good there. Sometimes to things are hidden, so you might have to google it and see. For me it was there as you can see in my video and has been off for over a year now. I adjusted some other things to and I still take it to BMW of course for service etc and no issues

Then you'll probably have info system 8 or 8.5 which they made cloud based and stopped letting you have access to code anything. It sucks. The net cars get worse and worse about trying to nanny you... 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I wanted to mess around with the ambient lighting on my BMW. Does you have any options for yours using this version of OBDLink? I know sometimes a different obd plug is needed.

Did you make sure it's plugged in all the way? Did you open the app and attempt to connect?

@@Zachus yeah it’s definitely plugged in all the way, if I push on it any harder something gonna break lol. Won’t connect either, I’m gonna try plugging it into another car and see but I doubt my obd port is broken my car is a 2022 lol

Contact the company, they will likely send you another one free of charge. I saw another report with a similar issue and they sent them another one, no problem.
