Your best point is loading the legs and exploding forward into the shot with the legs. This is the true source of Iga's power. She stays crouched with knees bent at almost all times on court. This allows her to activate her full body into every shot. Her extreme Western grip also allows her to swing full strong and still get enough topspin to keep the ball in the court. Lesson? Keeping your knees bent is a real thing.

She seems to be using almost a full western grip, which means that her index base knuckle and the heel pad of her right hand are on bevel number 5. This grip can be great for forehands above hip level, but can be challenging on the lower ones. One of her secrets is her excellent footwork, where she gets really low to make it easier to "get under" the ball to make the grip less extreme and easier to use on lower shots. I hope this helps!

Western forehand grip, creates also top spin of 3000 rpm, which is close to Nadal. Sinner hits forehand 4 mph faster,only Thiem was able to hit the backhand with the same speed. USO 2022 statistics.

I do not think she needs an upper arm for tennis. Her stroke from both sides only needs a forearm. “Ugly” but consistent.

You are prone to make many mistake once you change your style of game if you're used to your old game. specially if your playing for a very very long time. Mostly pro start at a young age. Copying Iga style probably is good only for beginner who's just starting to play.
