Jessica had some great shots, and quite a few that landed on the base line. Gave her a lot of confidence. Iga had her great top spin with plenty of clearance over the net....but she didn't have the power or speed that she usually had. Well, Jessica wanted the win, and Iga just didn't have it this time.

Iga rarely faces even slightly tough competition and that’s why she wins, whenever she does she breaks like a matchstick. Instead of being an Iga apologist accept the other player’s greatness. Pegula was hitting all groundstrokes baseline to baseline continuously.

ITF and ATP should consider limiting the decibel level of grunts from grunters. It may give grunters the psychological and physical benefit, but it's not fair to other players and many paying spectators. This match isn't annoying to watch because one is a non-grunter and the other one is only an occasional grunter (and with a very mild decibel level at that).

Coco is a player outside of the top 10. she is a bubble player with insufficient skill who was ranked up for seed manipulation, match manipulation, steroid and commercial purposes. Don't give Coco another US Open title, it will ruin women's professional tennis. Do something disgusting only once. Don't underestimate the level of tennis spectators.
