Two standout moments: obviously the Osaka match. 5-2 down, match point down, turns that around against a former No.1 and four-time slam winner. Second: When Paolini had the audacity to break for 2-1, Iga responded with 10 games on the bounce! That is champion mentality, right there. Grass is going to be interesting. Last year we had a different champion for each slam and so far we are 2 for 2. The girls game is absolutely flying right now imho...

Iga can dig herself out of the grave which she proved in Osaka thriller ;) I think it was her psychologist job to make her more immune to the deepest potholes on her way. Her tears in the changing room after that match... Anybody who achieved something precious and important against all hurdles, adversity, unfavorable circumstances, could feel the same. On the top of it is clear message that Iga is not a robot but ordinary human being with all kind of emotions.

Iga, like Coco, is extremely mature for her age. Also, she is very natural and brutally honest but not stuck-up - quite opposite, I would say. Education starts at home, and her dad, a former Olympian, did a heck of a job in this department. In addition, she is surrounded by a great team, which does make things easier. Poland is lucky to have her.
