Can anyone tell me whether Evelyn's parents or her two siblings, are still alive ? They are my long-lost family, I have been searching for them frantically through Havant Council, Havant ( as her parents used to live in Havant, Hampshire ) and the UK's Ministry of Defence since Harry Joyce was a Major in the Corps of Royal engineers during and immediately after the Second World War and serving in India. Frustratingly, my efforts have not fructified till now. We lost contact with them soon after insurgency broke out in Mizoram in February 1966 as all letters into and out of Mizoram were censored by the Indian Govt and no form of electronic media was in existence back then. Iggy's real name was Evelyn Charlton Joyce (or Laldawngliani in Mizo language as she was named by her mother Mrs Angela) born of an English father and a Mizo mother, she has a younger brother Stephen Charlton Joyce and sister Elizabeth Ann Charlton Joyce (born in 1958). Evelyn's mother's only surviving sister, my mother (93 years old) is desperate to know whether her sister and her husband are alive, and the whereabouts of their children and grandchildren. Syd Barett received help from David G. for his two solo albums... The recordings turned out to be very difficult!!! Syd continued to take drugs!!! He was not in a good state... Syd was on the verge of schizophrenia!! He should have been eating apples and oranges instead... Syd had the wrong friends!!! Sad story for Syd and his family... I am interested in how he lived with the illness for the rest of his life... Unfortunately there are no more books about Syd in Germany...
