This week, we're clearing up a few of the common Lyme myths surrounding not only Lyme disease but other chronic tick-borne infections as well.
In this video, Dr. Warren points out a few ways doctors have been misguided in their thinking and practices and answers some questions about chronic Lyme, why doctors get confused, and how testing (the classic IgG vs. IgM confusion) can lead doctors and patients astray in the case of chronic illnesses.

I have chronic reactivated IgM in EBV. It is always active in PCR too. Never gone fully dormant in almost 7 years. And my blood smear results say atypical lymphocytes. I am intrigued by the whole IgG thing for chronic infections. I'm not convinced it is chronic but very interesting.

So you can't prove chronic Lyme disease with a blood test ? For the last 15 years my yearly bloodtest shows a IgM negative but a Igg positive for Borrelia Burgdorpherie infection , though I have developed a whole range of symptoms like meningitis , coeliackie and other allergies , difficulties with light and sound , brainfog , memoryproblems ... and eventualy epileptic seizures still no doctor here in Belgium wants to say i have got Lyme disease . But how can you 'prove' scientificaly that you have Lyme ?

maybe try and find a functional medicine doctor in your area they'll take it seriously

Find a lyme specialist and have them put you through the protocol. False negatives on the lyme test are common in blood tests. From my research, several people diagnosed with MS, et cetera, have gone through lyme protocol and literally walk out of wheelchairs After years of debilitation.

Functional medical system and drs are far more knowledgeable about disease, and do specialized testing and extensive testing to find what's actually the cause of why people are sick, insurance most likely Won't cover. Try asking your regular dr for an immunoglobulins panel blood test done, it shows antibody levels to lots of things. I had this test done, and a few were abnormal, but dr ignored the abnormal tests, which means etiological disease and environmental illnesses. They should do this test before using lyme tests. The conventional medical systems tests are to disprove of diseases and symptoms and don't help. I've gotten ignored and never tested for diseases and environmental illnesses early. Functional drs did and used urine tests to find the tick disease and mold mycotoxins I have. The conventional system is set up to fail patients in many ways, and its seriously a disgrace to the human race.

@@wyliemusic Thanks for your reply but believe me : I have seen so many specialists they are clueless but don't want to admit it . I was also sent to a"Lyme-specialist" who put me on antibiotics although the infection was from years earlier . After a month of taking doxycycline ( destroying my microbiome completely) a new bloodtest showed no improvement at all . Her conclusion : "Oh well then you probably have no problem with that Borrelia " Case closed : I was just a fraud .

That's because your actually a CIRS patient! Lyme is a biotoxin, like mold, and a list of others. Your body is stuck in the inflammatory response loop. It actually could be both triggered by lyme and water damage building, that is very common. I was almost exactly where you are 2 years ago. When I considered that Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome might actually be my problem I found a Dr that had experience with the Shoemaker protocol and now I am a new person! This Dr is definitely on the right track and I agree with everything he is saying but he just hasn't quite gotten to the "why". Why do some people get chronically I'll and some people don't. Do just a little research on CIRS and if becomes painfully obvious that there is a specific genetic piece that answers that questions. I will leave it at that. God bless ❤️

Doctors have to treat the symptoms no matter what the tests are many people have been cured after suffering for many years only after of repeated treatments with antibiotics that many people do get well. It’s a expensive disease 🦠 to treat so insurance companies don’t want to pay for long term antibiotics and insurance companies and the CDC support each other on how people will be treated . So in the end many people suffer for the rest of their lives which effects the workforce , family’s , drug addiction to find relief from the pain . It’s all about the money .
