@@donaldpasserelli3529 I had a port for doxy on my chest for 2 yrs when I first got Lyme in 2007 18 months in I went full body paralyzed for 6 months. I was on deaths door when I found MM. In a wheel chair, could walk but major struggle. I can snap my fingers again, couldnt do that for many yrs, like to music. Lyme is really a combo of EBV and Zoster virus feeding off of heavy metals mainly mercury. MMs protocol works on removing heavy metals and killing the viruses or helping them go dormant. My mobility is amazing the recovery through his protocol. For about 2 yrs I juiced 5 grapefruits a day drinking it all at once with many supplements added. Ive had Shingles 11xs since 2007. I have a lot of neuropathy, damage. MS is really only stage 6 of Lyme, same viruses cause it. When I stopped the drugs I was on 10 gabapetins a day. I no longer take Gaba. I am in pain management for oxy and have a muscle relaxer I can take but I only use them when I hit a level 8-10 pain. Mostly during Relapse, which these days with all the stress in the world has been difficult. I also use medical canabis and RSO Rick Simpson Oil has been a life saver at times. I found the terrapin Ocimene which is in some strains of Cannabis and an herb called Holy Basil helps a lot. Melatonin also helps me a lot. Its been a long journey with many ups and downs, deaths doorstep 5xs now. I firmly believe changing our view from Living to eat to eating to Live is the way. Stay Blessed hope that info helps ;-)

I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you've been facing with your health. It must be frustrating to experience those symptoms and not be getting clear answers from your doctors. It's good that you're getting tested for it in two weeks. Hopefully, the test will give you some clarity on what's going on. In the meantime, take care of yourself and prioritize activities that help manage stress and promote overall well-being. This might include practicing relaxation techniques, engaging in gentle exercise, and maintaining a healthy diet.

Chronic infections whether it's tick borne, Epstein-Barr virus are associated with immune system being dysregulated. For example many of these people have chronic inflammatory response syndrome not caused by water damage building but caused by the immune activation from the chronic infection. so you really have to work on any and all associated phenomena. If there are toxins in the environment or if they have gut issues or if they're hypermobile with connective tissue issues. these all have to be addressed.

I had Epstein Barr followed by Lyme followed by two strains of hpv followed by covid. My Lyme was treated way late due to my doctor becoming more conservative with his antibiotic prescribing. I wound up with bullseyes all over and at that time they didn’t believe that these rashes happened anywhere but at the site of a bite, so it delayed my treatment even longer. It was only after my second test that I got positive on all bands. I learned that I do have attributes of Ehlers Danlo syndrome. I also lost my gallbladder after my first pregnancy. I learned that I have deficiencies in fat soluble vitamins especially. Supplementing changed my world. It improved so many of my chronic symptoms from the Lyme and HBV reactivation.

How about pet dander and the extra CO2 in the environment that attracts ticks too? How do all those strains develop? Many people I know get ticks on their body from their dogs...
@AaronHartmanMD
@AaronHartmanMD 7 ай бұрын
Ticks are not mosquitoes and they're not bugs so they don't fly to their targets based on a suit CO2 concentration gradient. They sit and wait for their prey to walk by them, which typically are mammals that they are attached to. Yes, pets do actually bring them into the house, that is correct. Which is one of the concerns with indoor pets, especially dogs, since they are one of the preferred vehicles for ticks in relationship to human infection.

Are you aware of any grant programs to help people like me? It makes a lot of sense to me that you would need to use an antibiotic to get the spirochetes to come out and then test....I do have autoimmune and likely mold too. And I have read that if you have mold and lyme issues you are likely more sensitive to EMF radiation such as that from cell phones.

Yes, Lyme can become dormant during testing. I've seen patients where they've tested negative over and over and over again. And then eventually if tested positive or had flares of Lyme in the wintertime. So because the testing is not super sensitive, the standard testing can overlook a latent or indolent infection that's not active.

Forward to 6 years later , I have been on 29 to 30 antibiotics, numerous supplements, and medications. My inflammation markers scored high through private testing done through Dr Bruce Patterson. Of course, I couldn't find a doctor to prescribe the suggested medications. I don't think antibiotics will help me at this time. Something else is happening at the immune system level. Hi there, diagnosing Lyme disease can be challenging, as there's no perfect test. According to the CDC, it's primarily a clinical diagnosis rather than one based solely on lab results. However, we prefer using lab tests, especially for Chronic Lyme Disease. The Western Blot test looks for antibodies your immune system produces when actively fighting Lyme. For a positive result, your immune system needs to be active. On the other hand, the ELISA test searches for Lyme particles directly in your blood. If you have dormant Lyme cells, ELISA might show a negative result. Typically, Lyme diagnosis involves both the Western Blot and ELISA tests. If either is positive, it suggests Lyme disease. However, it can be tricky. Additional tests for immune function are valuable. For instance, a low natural killer cell count or low IgM indicates immune system issues. Elevated TGF beta one suggests problems with certain immune cells. In our doctors' experience, patients with Chronic Lyme Disease often have mold-related illnesses, which should also be addressed. This aligns with the findings of Neil Nathan, a Lyme doctor in another part of the country, who wrote a book called "Toxic" on chronic illness. I hope this helps answer your question.
@goodvibesxox
@goodvibesxox 5 ай бұрын
@@RIFMAdmin so, even after you treat lyme though it’s possible the antibodies can stay positive a long time, right? so if I took a test again from igenex 10 years later .. it’s possible it’s still positive even if no active infection, since CDC says you can’t retest to know if cured or not. should lyme be treated naturally? There seems to be great herbs as well for it like from buhner’s protocol. I know there’s types of antibiotics for cyst form, and antibiotics don’t address persisters as well. They really damage the gut microbiome so is it best to treat naturally ?

@RIFMAdmin
@RIFMAdmin 5 ай бұрын
@@goodvibesxox So sorry for the late response. Yes, the antibodies can stay elevated for up to six to nine months but anything lower than that suggests there's still a low-grade infection or something else going on. The other thing to take note of is if it's one or two bands, especially band 41, that can be falsely positive. If people have other positive autoimmune markers, that particular band is not as specific as others. Technically, for testing, you need both a direct and indirect test, which would be something like the Western Blot, and then a PCR test. But ultimately, you also have to do immune system testing looking at people's natural killer cells, CD8 cells, complement systems, TGF-beta, C3a, C4, and a whole host of other labs can give you a better idea, and the more complicated patients. We wish it was as simple as one test one result, but it's a little more complicated than that.

After having Lyme disease, you may have significant neurological inflammation, systemic inflammation that can be around and be residual for quite some time. I was diagnosed by my naturopath with chronic lyme. I only tested 3 positive bans. CDC wants 5 or more positive bans. Yale say they would not test me for lyme because, and I quote, 'you don't look like you have lyme'. As someone in the medical field, I was shocked. I have symptoms for years. All kinds of symptoms. Headache, low back pain, stiff neck, muscle aches, joint pain, weakness in hand and foot, bell's palsy, ect. I lived with asbestos for 20 years. Once I contracted Covid and 3 Covid boosters, Moderna, it's like all the symptoms came home to roost. Could Covid had triggered lyme?

I'm actually not surprised. The medical universities tend to be the worst with this as their training deals only with acute Lyme disease, not chronic Lyme disease. And they don't recognize neither does the CDC that you have to have an intact immune system to make antibodies, which is what the bands are dealing with. So actually, I see this quite a bit and it's actually quite common, I am not surprised. And the symptoms you're listing are on the list related to chronic infections tick-borne illnesses, but not acute Lyme disease. So again, it would be overlooked by an acute care specialist in a hospital care system. You just must remember not to go to an acute care specialist or an acute care system for a chronic issue that's multi-system and multi-symptom. As far as reactivation it can be reactivated by a whole host of things. Recurrent Epstein Barr, head concussion, chronic mold exposure, and yes, even COVID. We are now seeing a reactivating Lyme disease.

Has anyone experienced or knows if hypoxic therapy is an effective treatment for Lyme Disease? I'm curious about alternative treatments and their real-world outcomes. Any insights or personal experiences shared would be greatly appreciated
