Liam's Lenz WHATTT? Why? It has everything funny moments action moments and serious moments. It keeps you entertained the whole movie. I'm a marvel fan who doesn't read the comics and only watches the movies. I get a huge sense of entitlement every time a marvel movie comes out and use it as an excuse to hate DC because I'm actually very insecure and like being apart of something. Entitlement deserved. No fear from having lack to chew from. The DCEU bashing is just a coincidence stemmed from DC's fan's long hatred and dominance towards the MCU upon BvS build up whom didn't have a platform yet as front runners. Honestly I think the reason they made Thor Ragnarok a comedy, instead of the dark, serious toned movie many were hoping for is because of Infinity War. If you have this dark, sober, perilous story of Thor and team taking on a godlike threat that possibly means the end of the world/universe as we know it. Only to have the same story and tone repeated again in Infinity war, the whole thing just becomes repetitive. Better to have this lighthearted space adventure story that doesn't take itself too serious but still has significant moments, good plot and great character development and let it lead into the inevitably dark infinity war storyline. Also I think Thor as a character or maybe its just Chris hemsworth really has a niche in comedy. I honestly use to think Thor was lame before seeing Chris hemsworth take on the role in the MCU. His comedic timing is brilliant. His ego as a god clashing with the humility of never really being needed at times is hilarious.😂😂

Cameron McEwen Have you ever watched a Taika movie. He nails the humor and character interactions in all his movies which can really work for Fantastic 4, which is a team always going on crazy cosmic adventures and the Jack Kirby imagary he used in Ragnarok would be perfect for a F4 film. If you know anything about the original F4 comics you'd find Taika a perfect choice. Although I would've preferred a darker route like Marvel originally envisioned for Ragnorok, I'm willing to give Taika a chance since he's a really talented director. You should check his movies out like Hunt for the Wilderpeople and What we do in the Shadows

To everybody hating this movie: First of all, Marvel Comics is not so accurately based on Norse mythology either, and the MCU is also loosely based on the comics, so the argument of the first guy has no sense. Secondly, for those who don't know Taika Waititi as a filmmaker, if you see one of his films, you'll understand how well he can balance good humor, like he does here, with the appropriate drama and seriousness when it's needed. So, yeah this movie will be a comedy and colourful, especially the planet hulk part, but it will have its serious moments when the actual Ragnarok starts happening.

+Cameron McEwen Reviews say otherwise. Waititi is a great director and really looks he brought Thor to his full potential while adding some of his own style as well. This isn't a case of wrong director for wrong movie it was a case of an unexpected choice for a particular movie. The only reason people have made the wrong director claim is simply because "it's not a 100% true to the actual Ragnarok comic" and I find that claim to be very weak and pretty one sided.
