it's funny that the blades doing more dps was unintentional because it's nicely balanced out by the fact that you have to quick throw the axe to interrupt the valkyrie flying moves making it more risky to use the blades

Dev, said it clear Sigrun health bar is a lie, some time heavy runic attacks and rage attacks wouldn't make any damage at all, when we are in the final phase of the health bar, it made me play the game more aggressively and focused on the next try tho.

No, they said the runic attacks will always do damage, but after three or four runic attacks in quick succession the valkyrie will no longer become staggered and will begin a new attack sequence.

Sigrun was my hardest boss fight ever. Took me hours to beat her on normal difficulty. Harder than the soulsborne bosses. For me it was harder than Melania.

for people that are saying "they should been reacting to GBG speedruns, well GBG has a few speedruns but not that fast as you many think since he is more like a combo style breaker gamer. obviously there are videos where he does amazing combos and kill the bosses in a few seconds but also there are other speedrunners in the community that grind this game for the fastest time possible.

wondering why he doesnt use wrath of the frost ancient, fully upgraded the attack does an insane amount of damage... even if the cooldown is longer, but on hard difficulty it took a quarter or more of the valkyires lives if you hit the beam the whole time and also stuns them so they cant attack you during the attack

Remember she has every attack from the others exceppt sommening enemies. Be very patient and wait her to Attack or multiple attacks until you See an opening and don't Panic or you've already lost, depending on what difficulty your playing. Runic attacks can cancel her attacks but sometimes they don't so be still on you guard when performing one.

Maxed out Zeus armor and some specific perfect enchantments, runic attacks and combos can kill sigrun in less than 20 seconds, on gmgow. Done it myself

The "Frost Laser" (nice name btw lol.) forces you into an animation where you can't move. When the Valks get lower in health they get much higher poise (glowing eyes) and can tank the laser. Ends up getting you hit or downed more often than not. Also, Hels Touch used with Borr's frozen shard has the highest damage stack for other runics and one of the lowest cooldown times.

@@BaldorfBreakdowns This is on GMGOW on standard New Game. Wrath of the Frost Ancients does not one shot. Not even close actually. This was an older run, so there are probably better strats now, but the laser just doesn't do that much damage on this difficulty.

Wow this commentary makes me realuze how scummy the design of the valkyries was on purpose. Hidden bar that makes them not get staggered, gaining extra defense as they lose health making the health bar deceiving. Even dark souls isnt that scummy with its bosses
