About the Director
Goutam Ghose (b. 1950), renowned director from Calcutta began making documentaries in 1973. He took active part in group theatre movement in Calcutta. His first feature film, Maa Bhhoomi was made in 1978 and ever since he has made a number of celebrated feature films such as Dekha (2001), Paar (1984), Patang (1993), Yatra (2006) and Moner Manush (2010) and documentaries such as Meeting a Milestone (1989), Beyond the Himalayas (1994-95), Ray (1999), Impermanence (2004) and In search of the Rajah (2008) and so on. He is also a national award winning cinematographer. He has scripted most of his films and also scored for them. Goutam Ghose has participated in national and international film festivals and he is recipient of several distinguished awards and honours.

अगर यही चर्चाएं मातृभाषा में हुई होती तो शायद मेरे जैसे,बहुत से ललित कला के छात्रों को समझने में आसानी होती,पर एक सबसे बड़ी समस्या ये भी तो आ जाती है की अगर मातृभाषा में बात करेंगे तो इमेज कम हो जायेगी।
