A little advice, to get molten slime the fastest way posible, take all of the lava in the dungeons with a shovel and use the chemistry table to turn it into the slime that way you dont have to farm 120+ slimes

I do realize I am late to the party, but just for anyone new reading this, the scarlet hoe you use for plants works on an area of 5x5 and also picks up the "slime ground" tiles much like the shovel, very effective to use for slime bosses that spawn these tiles too. I do recommend also making a slime farm by just placing turrets facing a large area of slime ground, that way you also get a chance to get other loot than the slime itself.

Pro tip: Get the full set of Cosmos armor for this fight as the full set makes you immune to burning. The fight is significantly easier.

..... Mate, You need to show HOW to do it WITHOUT the magma armor; Mostly because THAT armor can't be attained until you KILL the Lava Slime.

Use a full set of Cosmos armor, it makes you immune to burning damage and there's only 3 piece you'll need to farm.

Meanwhile me going terraria mode: -- comes in with slime set to not aggro any slimes -- places spikes all over arena --- 40 turets on side of whole arena ---Melles and blocks the boss every time it jumps

Bro and I fished up 2 types of fish from the magma Elder Dragonfish and Verdant Dragonfish ( I think the names are correct or close) which give you burn immunity for 6 mins 30 secs when cooked. We also fished up some nice fish from the oasis too. I hope this helps yall out and enjoy the fight :o)

Fighting him with melee was so much easier them ranged. Just use rune song, sentry helmet, slime chestplate, omorots leggings, omoroths necklace, 2 bone rings, omoroths craws, some food, heal pots and ur good to go

Well... the guide is pretty good in the whole. But I would change some stuff in the actual fight. I fought him with two of my friends on the day before yesterday. I don't know how the circumstances were when the video came out half a year ago. But when we came there we removed the ground slime while battling Igneous. Yes, he creates new slime where he moves, but it helps a lot. And he is not easy when you fight him the first time! And also, don't ignore the healing orbs from him, as long as Igneous is not poisoned. When he is, maybe you can ignore a few of them, because they only heal 25% of the normal healing. And I suggest to bring a bed, maybe a repair station too and dig a room near Igneous' location. Sleep one time in the placed bed and when you die in the battle you way faster there again, because you spawn at the bed. Or you build a portal there. But it's pretty expensive.

Hey Serroh. Did they nerf stats? If I put on every item you are wearing minus the pumpkin and changed my crafting stats to match I am at 580 max health , 27-33 melee dmg, and 122 chd. any ideas? Only 5 maxed crafting skills. fishing is at 13, range 61, melee 37 and vit 61. Taking alot longer than i thought it would to grind them out. the difference is 45 crit and 500 melee dmg. seems way high for crafting skill difference. I am hitting mobs for 520 dmg with crits and ur videos show u doing 5k dmg.

think they buffed the orbs, at about 15:00 I notice a bunch go into molten, but molten barley gains any health, less orbs than that are maxing the molten in my games health, have died about 50x I might be giving up here
