"JRPG" doesn't tell me anything about what the game is like, except that it's an RPG made in Japan. Even "RPG" is too broad a term.

Americans have to remember that the '83 game crash only happened to them. Here in the UK and Europe we had moved over from consoles to computers. Atari 400/800, Atari St, Commodore 64, Spectrum and the Amiga. Games were being made in huge quantities, with quality, until the Megadrive and Snes arrived.

Love the show, but there's quite a bit of misinformation on the Alarmo section of this show. Alarmo can function as a normal alarm clock without the motion sensor set up. The Alarmo is already released, it is not coming in 2025. It is being sold online and in the Nintendo Store in New York right now. People have already reviewed the device. Also, just for Nick: the Pikmin sounds does already include Pikmin drowning. Enjoy!

Sorry, that came out wrong. I am in complete agreeance with you. When i said “that’s what you want”, i mean, that’s what the people who complain about only having one FF per console, and yet they would be pissed if the graphics were toned down. I am the furthest thing from a graphics person! Gameplay and story above all! Listening to it back, yeah i see how i worded it is confusing.

ET was the final straw, but the industry was already in decline and on its way to crash. It’s 100% known though that Atari thought ET would sell gangbusters based on the popularity of the film, so they over-printed copies, only for them to not sell.
