I previously made this video ( • Ignik Firecan Deluxe: ... ) showing the Ignik Firecan Deluxe and walking through everything that's included, the features, and my initial thoughts on it.
After posting that, my comments exploded with questions about how it actually burns and cooks or saying they wished I shown the fire pit in use. So, here's that video!
I'm going to fire it up, cook two burgers on it, and then switch it to fire pit mode. So, if you want to see the thing in action and get my thoughts on it for cooking or a fire pit, watch until the end.

Nice review. The grilling is def the weakness. Reading it can’t cook low and slow.

Yeah, seems to run pretty hot even when you've got it turned way down.

Nice job. About the char on the edges...I don't think there's a darn thing you can do about it...just happens due to shape/size. Some folks use grates, cast iron griddles sitting atop vice inside the can.

Cast iron is a great idea! I was fine with the char, but definitely wanted to point it out since, to your point, it seems to be the nature of the shape of the can. Thanks for the tips!

I like it if I can find room for it, I'll consider it.

It's a nice pretty small fire pit. I keep mine in my drawer systems in the back of my truck so I've always got it when I need it.

I almost bought a Ignik but I went with the Lava Box because of the adjustment of the flame

This might be good for steaks can it boil a pot of water?
@AllThingsOverlanding

Yeah, I'm sure it could. It's probably not as fast as a regular old propane stove, but it would do it.

Looks like a nice little pit. I am starting to consider a propane bit due to fire bans but have not decided yet as that, of course, whould require me to carry more propane! How long does one of these burn on a 20#, do you know yet?
@AllThingsOverlanding

I haven't been able to exhaust a 20 lb with it yet. I've run it off of a 5 lb for a few hours without running through that. I believe you could get probably 15-20 hours out of a 20 pound tank, but I'll have to really use the bejesus out of it to get through that, haha.
