It's already the 3rd evolution in 6 months... they've first added laser effects, and then just recently they've added a dozen flamethrowers... quite a spectacular show... worth the price of admission on this alone.

Because of that Shanghai Disney resort with Enchanted Storybook castle is the largest castle in Disney Parks history. One day when I came here, this place is history. I think Disney has been doing that recently. Tokyo Disneyland's Once Upon a Time show were also brought to Magic Kingdom but it was made shorter (14 minutes instead of 19 minutes).

Is it because the Shanghai castle is too colorful that sometimes the projection looks really weak on it? Paris one seems so much brighter and clearer. I live in Shanghai and it's the same when I watch it in the park. kinda sad...

The Shanghai castle is probably the drabest one, they tried to paint the castle so the discolouration from the elements looked natural and if really doesn't work. The light pollution also makes the projections less clear and they seem much less smooth since the castle is just so detailed. The Magic Kingdom castle is detailed, but it also has flat surface and mostly same coloured sections so the projections are clearer and crisper. Meanwhile this castle has do much going on it makes the projections look messy,

It is the Chinese version of “a dream is a wish your heart makes”，the singer is named TanWeiWei（谭维维)，but she herself also don't have a copy of the song，it‘s only for Shanghai Disneyland.

Compared to earlier showings the fireworks that are included in this version of the show seem like they aren't launched as well or as if they don't care how they launch such as in the frozen part it doesn't really compare to when it first opened

Jacob Vanover if you're going to go by that frozen wasn't the most profitable, Captain America: Civil War is. This because Marvel Studios for intents and purposes a fully integrated shell company for Walt Disney Studios. And by the way if if the Disney name is placed on a movie that automatically makes it a Disney movie, and in a lot of cases more profitable than Frozen, regardless of the studio used to produce it.

Due to environmental reasons, the pollution is bad enough in China they don't need nightly fireworks blasting off everywhere, and the Pyro that is included has to be specially made for the park

I’ve seen the one at Paris and honestly I like it a bit more than this one cause there’s more fireworks and effects and the intro and outro song is in English. It is a bit lazy of Disney to just clone this to Paris really. Also “I Can’t Just Wait To Be King” and “Hakuna Matata” sounds a bit cringe and annoying in Maderin (The other way to say Chinese). No offence to the Chinese Btw.

A couple things, pairs was cloned because they moved the team from Shanghai to work on Paris’ 25th anniversary. Next, the shows are always recorded in English first because well, Disney Parks Live Entertainment is located in Glendale so what they do is record the show entirely in English so the creative team knows what’s going on and then they consult with focus groups to see how much of the show should be translated to Chinese, in Shanghai’s case almost the entire show is in Chinese same with the parades and other shows. Finally with regards to fireworks. This show was originally supposed to have a ton of fireworks (and I mean wayyyy more fireworks than Magic Kingdom’s show), Shanghai actually has the largest firework launch area of any Disney park around the world so you know they wanted to use it but the government said they couldn’t launch large fireworks nightly and only on special occasions so they cut the fireworks from the show unfortunately (u can actually find old footage of them running the show with the large scale fireworks before the park opened to the public)

The camera was next to a speaker also people in China aren’t as loud with their screaming and cheering as people are in the states. (Ps. The show’s techs and management team can’t hear the reaction unless they’re standing in the audience which most likely they’re not)

More like respect. Sure it's great to hear people liking the show, but the applause can get distracting and take away from the experience. In Tokyo, Shanghai and Hong Kong the audiences stay quiet to appreciate the show in it's full glory, not obstructed by cheering and screaming.

Nope, Disney France actually copied shanghai's version, because the Ignite the Dream(Shanghai Disney's Illuminations) came in 2016, while France got their version called Illuminations in 2017 March, nearly a year after Shanghai Disney opened. So technically France kinda copied Shanghai but changed it a bit.

Wow, even in Mandarin , the whole Disney experience brought my jaw down and eyes watery when I went for the grand opening . If you have a problem with different languages just stay in the states... or get and education!
