Kevin, my preference is at the beginning, a no frills version containing complete verse and chorus so i can go back and listen as i go through the lesson, working on the details of chord transistions and timing, its always easier for me to get the basic version so i can play in a jam session and that motivates me to work on the riffs or licks to add spice, I started at age 42 on the banjo with some guitar knowledge without the computer age, and its a real blessing to have individuals such as yourself helping us move forward enjoying the world of music, also I have forwarded your channel to friends that are currently learning to play guitar Thanks Tim

Your rhythm on this song is immaculate, actually a banjo player, been looking for a solid rhythm on this song , if you could follow up with a complete rhythm video on this song it would be great , I noticed some if the other comments requested it also Thanks for a solid guitar lesson.
@RelaxandlearnguitarАй бұрын
Thanks! So you mean like a full play through at the beginning or end of the video?
@timhunter7324Ай бұрын
A full version with a slow version and then a version at full speed would be great especially for a beginner guitar player to be able to get the correct placement and timing of the guitar riff, once again I really appreciate the " I remember what it was like to be a beginner" teaching style, reminds me a lot of Jim Pankey Thanks for a great video

Thanks Kevin, Vicki and Maggie May. In addition to a good job on teaching the basic song, love the recommended embellishments to jazz it up and make it more interesting /fun. Recently looking at the Four Tops (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch, Same Old Song, Baby I Need Your Loving, Reach Out I'll be There, Standing In The Shadows of Love) and noticed that there are no good tutorials for these songs.

Great video and live member lesson as well. Didn’t know this song before and now can’t stop playing it. 😊 It’s also a great way to just practice hammer ons.

Kevin, Vicki and Maggie Mae. Looking at Jackson Browne "Road" written by Danny O'Keefe who also wrote "Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues" which does not seem to have any good lessons there and I thought this would be attractive to your subscribers and in your sweet spot. "Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues" is a simple song, easy to play and sing but also offers opportunities for strumming, finger-style and picking with some embellishments. You folks are doing a great job without my help but heard the song and thought of you. Best

How do you get your ring finger to bend at the first knuckle the way you do? Is it natural? I'm having trouble with the C chord hammer on. I can play the C chord clearly but when I take the tension off the D string it gets muted by my ring finger on the A string and the and the open D string doesn'tring out to hammer onto. Any suggestions? You do great on this song lesson.
@Relaxandlearnguitar8 ай бұрын
Thanks and glad you like the lesson. It does come natural for me. But I also warm up and do finger exercises everyday. Over time that could help. Try this exercise out kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zl7anaB5YsugjpIsi=vAVpmHQ44ct_i6_0
