I was raised in Corbin until I was 8 before my mother moved us up to Louisville in 1966, I must confess I never really liked chili dogs or onion rings but in 1965 I still remember getting a root beer float there that was delicious, back then they had the trays that hooked to your door like in American Graffiti, it's nice to see a piece of the past is still there.

I remember when they opened the little spot just across the road it was opened in the winter and had Indoor seating. But it didn't last long. I miss me a grilled cheese with pickles and a large order of French fries! 1/2 gallon of Root beer!

I went to Saint Camillus Academy and Corbin. I love that place I there all the time. I went to school with girls who worked in there as carhops. My buddies and I back in the 70s would always try to sneak a Frosted Mug. But then we found out that if a Frosted Mug was missing the waitress had to pay for it. So we quit trying but their root beer was just so good. I know you're enjoying that meal right now because I ate there all the time I ate everything there at least once. It was all good. And it was always busy.
