I just got the IGS Arcade collection for the Switch. Extremely happy. BUT HOW COULD THEY NOT INCLUDE THE KILLING BLADE?!! A love letter to 80s Hong Kong Vampire flicks-

@@red7even52 no not at all! I loved it; always interesting to hear about a system less familiar to me and, in this case, I knew the square root of £&&£&@! Perhaps I’ll start with the emulator route; really keen to try the likes of Martial Masters 👍👍

I really enjoyed that Nick and as they say every days a school day. I wasn't aware of the hardware, but had heard of some of the games. I had heard of Knights of Valor, SvsG and Demon Front. Great stuff mate :).

Worth pointing out that Knights of Valor also has large fighting-game-like movesets for it's characters with various specials and supers.

Sweet video Red7! Man so many games I've never heard of. I always hoped that Martial Masters got a port to something someday. It looks so sweet! I just played Spectral VS Generation last night for PSP. I love SvG so much! This video was a wild ride. Good Job Red!

The IGS PGM is such a neat little arcade system. I picked mine up in the summer of 2021 and have eight cartridges for it including conversions of all the Cave shooters, DoDonPachi II/Bee Storm (my label says the former though they're one and the same), The Killing Blade, Oriental Legend Super, The Gladiator and Knights of Valor Plus. All are great games and worth the money I spent all things considered. I'd love to get Spectral vs. Generation in cart form as well as Knights of Valor 3 on the IGS PGM 3 hardware, but both are pretty rare and pricey so I have to bide my time. I'm also currently still looking for Demon Front and I'm pretty bummed out about an attempt I made to buy one last year. The seller had the cart, but when he tested it before shipping it out to me the cart, unfortunately, didn't work anymore and he had to refund me and cancel the order. I'm still sad about that... :( Personally, though I respect all opinions of course, I wouldn't think it would be unfair to pick at least one of those Cave shooters for the top five despite being conversions. If anything, it would be more unfair to leave them out simply because of how rare, expensive and sometimes faulty the original stand-alone boards are known to be. It also wouldn't be fair to you since you're the one who would have to spend that cash. The game itself is what should be truly recognized here, not the method of which it physically exists. Again though, all the respect in the world for your choices here. :) Finally, you earned a new sub today. Thanks for your help on the Ex-Board and the time you took to talk about this sorely underrated piece of arcade history. I'm looking forward to new content in the future.

Yeah its a great system, dont worry I am sure you will find a Demon Front cart eventually, its definitely worth the wait and I am sure you will be stoked when you get it ! I was 50/50 about including them but I really wanted to shine the light on the less know games that came out in cart form, so it was kind of an excuse not to include conversions in the top 5😂 Glad to help mate, and thanks for the sub 😎👍

You've a really deep arcade collection, really good to see it all, I've obviously heard of the system having seen stuff for sale over the years, the thing that's always intrigued me has been those cave games and how they ended up on it, the other games look pretty decent too and it definitely fits in well with your amazing arcade collection, nice to see it all 👍

Thanks Craig, Yeah it also surprised me, it might be that they had a gap in their hardware development so ended up on other Companies Hardware, like the Cps2 and of course the PGM (lets face it IGS would of been the cheaper option), or maybe AMI had something to do with it. I am sure someone will do a speculative youtube video on it if it doesn't already exist🤣🤣🤣

Another fantastic video and a education, as I’ve never heard of the system or some of the games. It’s interesting how the bigger companies started jumping on board once they could see the potential. A really nice piece of gaming history and thanks for sharing Nick

Thanks Alex, its definitely not a system for everyone, but it you want to play some Cave games on original hardware in your cab its the cheapest options ! Yeah its amazing to see SNK put King of fighters '98 UM on their hardware, really showed how things changed, mind you, as you know better than me, it happened all the time back in the day, didn't Sega publish a lot of Nintendos stuff ? thanks for watching mate

Well that was really interesting. A system I've had no experience of but there looked some quality stuff. Can't believe how many Knights of Valor variants there are🤣 Particularly like the look of Gladiator and Demon Front and Martial Masters looked interesting too. That's another awesome collection you have there 😍👌✌️

puzzle games are cave killers for sure 🤣🤣 your a real Knights of Valour super fan i see, i defiantly would love t try those hacks. wow the gladiator is stuning.. probably released a bit late for it to have Demon Front is such a good game! i cant wait to play it on a bigger screen than i did before! so many good games, and a few i havent heard of before... ill be updating my to play list! 👍👍

Bullet hell or spot the difference - no competition there mate 🤣🤣🤣 It was a mission to get those KOV variants, very cheap and not rare.... but a nightmare to work out the different labels ! The Gladiator is arguably up there with the best Capcom brawlers and Demon front pet addition really make it much more than a MS clone ! I presume you have SvG on the PS2, if not you should mate !

@@red7even52 I do have SvG.... But like all fighters.... I watch some videos on it, appreciate the art and embarrassingly never play it... I used to love fighters, but I just can't keep up with them, and if I don't play to my standard I had when I was 13 I give up 😂

just go into test mode and in the system configuration there should an option for the coin/credit ratio which will toggle to free play, if I am not mistaken most the PGM mother boards a a test button on the board else you need to get to it via the jamma harness, sorry for the delay mate and good luck@@fuzzbear677
