In this video, we will discuss an important aspect of export trade, which is IGST Refund from Customs. Understanding GST refund in export trade is crucial for both new and existing exporters.
As you may know, there are two ways to execute an export shipment: "Without payment of Duty i.e., Under Bond or Letter of Undertaking [LUT]" and "With payment of Duty i.e., IGST."
Since exports are zero-rated under GST, both methods entitle you to GST refund. In the first method, you get a refund of unutilized input tax credit (ITC) from the GST Department. In the second method, you get a refund of the IGST paid amount from the Customs Department.
In this video, we will first briefly explain the second method, i.e., IGST Refund from Customs. Then, we will discuss the procedure to obtain IGST Refund, possible mistakes made by exporters and how to rectify them, how to track IGST Refund status, and finally, an important clause related to IGST refund that many exporters may not be aware of. my 65 invoice transmit out of 66 invoice for refund under 96(10) 1 invoice which is sent throuh aWB which is not processed and refund is stuck out of 65 invoices 16 are under rebate and rest is under lut, how do i check scroll status on icegate please respond

Sir/Madam, Please reply to the below queries at the earliest. (1) If for exports-purpose, we purchase goods in the local/domestic market with payment of SGST+CGST / IGST to the local manufacturer then it'll be called as Exports of Goods with payment of IGST or Exports of Goods without payment of IGST ? (2) Exports of Goods/Services with payment of IGST means in this IGST needs to be paid on ICEGATE / GST portal ? At which stage it's paid ? Thanks.
