Hi Mark from Canada! I watched this video before visiting the falls….and now after our visit. You are spot on with all you need to know before visiting. We visited both sides of the falls… first the Argentine side ( flying in from BA) then the Brazilian side after crossing the border. Both are a must see to really get that different perspectives of the falls. Nature in its glory! Stunning. We just got back ( September 2022) and the weather was perfect. You put so much passion into your travel videos. They are fantastic. My only regret… not being able to speak Portuguese or Spanish. It must make a world of difference to speak the local language. safe travels & gracias amigo ;)

This video made me miss Argentina.I was there spring 2020. I visited Iguazu in February and it was perfect time to visit because the water was low. I went on both sides, if you have the time totally recommend doing both sides. I also recommend doing one of those boat trips if you want to spend the money. It was so much fun going under the waterfall. Definitely have change of clothes and/or poncho when you go because it will rain or the mist gets you wet. Have on shoes that can get wet. Also remember to drink water. It can be super hot and humid. They also had showers so people can cool off. I stayed at Argentinian side. Also went to a concert. The town has so much stuff to do besides the Cataracas. Also recommend stopping at other places if you travel from Buenos Aires. I stopped at San Ignacio, Misiones.

Tip! In argentina side if you buy the ticket for the next day when you are there it has a half price. So take it easy and if you dont get to do all the hikes you want in one day you can buy a second day ticket and its cheaper and you can do all the park!! And now i think you have to hire a guide in the park to do the visit i think thats new, check that out in the website of the falls and there they have a map of all the circuit so you can see all what you can do in the park. Saludos de buenos airessss!!!

I remember staying at the Brazilian Belmont falls hotel which is within the park for one night, so there is no ticket, and just a short walk to the falls, but it's very expensive! I think it was September or October and very quiet. Do the boat trip if you want an up close below the falls view as well from above but bring a poncho and be prepared to get wet!

Oh man, when we were there, you didn't need to buy tickets! We stayed in the park at the hotel on the Argentine side. I was unaware of there being a train. We checked in, walked out the door, and were right on top of the Falls. Just start walking! Amazing! Coatis, howler monkeys, parrots, etc. An absolutely amazing experience. The wooden walkways were not as advanced as they are in this video, but were rather rudimentary. A much different experience, and frankly, I think I preferred it to the way it is in this lovely and informative video.

Why choose the Argentinean side or the Brazilian side? Do both and visit Paraguay as well. That way, you help the Mercosur regional bloc to unite and develop these countries. After the cold war, the world's big investments crossed the "iron curtain". After covid-19 they should also cross the "water curtains".

Trying to find someone's opinion on the safety of the Paraguayan city of Ciudad Del Este. Is there a way to visit the city for a few hours through a tour or is that unnecessary as long as you stay in the more touristy areas of the city? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

@picobello992 жыл бұрын
Great video and yes the Iguazu Falls are truely amazing! We visited both sides. On the Argentinan side we booked a tour with a guide, a jeep safari through the jungle and a boat ride that went into the waterfall. I'm totally recommending this! It's a bit pricey, but absolutely worth your money. The end of the day is the best time for the boat ride. You'll get completely soaked, so you can go to your hotel right after. There are buffet restaurants on both sides, I would recommend eating lunch here. Renting a car is also an option. The roads and traffic are good and it gives you a bit more freedom. I'm absolutely NOT recommending going to Ciudad Del Este! We actually went there (by car) and it was an absolute nightmare. We also didn't get a stamp in our passports because there wasn't any border control. If you want to visit Paraguay I would suggest going to a different part.
@picobello992 жыл бұрын
@@danielbarria6061 We drove across the border. The traffic was insane. Completely stuck, with motorcycles flying by at high speed just inches away from our car and people walking in the middle of traffic trying to sell stuff or begging. And some people tried to open the door! We were really afraid of car damage and getting robbed. Thank god that didn't happen. We turned around as soon as we could. It was super stressful. Later we found out Ciudad Del Este is Paraguay's second largest city and it's known for smuggling, crime and gang violence (yep, we didn't do our research).

@@danielbarria6061 You're welcome, I'm sure you'll have a great time. The Iguazu Falls are very beautiful. It's easy to drive around in Argentina and Brazil, that's why we thought we could drive to Paraguay as well. How different could it be? We already thought it was weird that the car insurance didn't cover Paraguay... Yes, we drove around there uninsured... Very stupid. But at least I can now prevent others from making the same mistake. Btw, there's a little zoo/ bird park on the Argentinan side where you can get a tour and see some native animals. It's worth the visit.
