When I got to 4:16 I seriously thought you had snuck in a sample of shattering glass for some kind of dramatic effect... Had to go back and re-listen to it a few times to realize that noise was actually from the violin, lol.

Igudesman is a very fine violinist. It's really a nice treat to have him sampled.

This library is a great idea and a nice addition to the collection. (Iam waiting for a Lisa Gerrard library by the way)

To be honest, as of the present I only own Spitfire libraries. Listening to Orchestral Tools libraries is another awesome tool. My target this year for starters, I want to buy the Berlin Orchestra Inspire bundle. I also want to have the joint project with Berklee. So that is my target this year. Orchestral Tools wait for me!!!!!!!!:)

You can't go wrong either way. I'm glad I started my journey with Arturia and now with Sine Factor/Labs, I dived into this realm and slowly built up my collection over the past year and a half. Still eying the Abion Neo and a few others. Other than that, OT is my main go to.

Just bought it, I absolutely love it. Just 2 things: PLEASE add a simple sustain in the standard articulations. I know these are standard in the context of the library, but a simple sustain would go a long way to provide a much needed rest from the vibrato in the legatos and, second: I hope the latency/ghosting in the dynamics gets fixed in a future update. Fix those 2 things and this library will be PERFECT (imo). Other than that I LOVE IT and thank for doing this (I am very glad I bought it).

Great suggestions. I finally got around to purchasing it today, along with Opaline.

@@jeuvideoiihizq The guitar is the only instrument (besides the voice) that I record personally. So I usually avoid guitar libraries for myself. But I am impressed of how good Opaline performs and how beautiful it sounds. I think is great choice :D

2:14 I believe Phillip Sheppard can also play like that, there's a video of Detroit Become Human's ost on Spitfire's Audio yt channel, where he plays the Kara's theme using that technique sometimes. Worth to mention he plays the Cello, so it would be a nice addition to this library ;)

@@maxalaintwo3578 yes, and the tina guo acoustic legato of cinesamples is great, but re-recording it now with better means would be incredible, then they also released another tina guo 2....but I don't know the reasons for that, but it was far from the expressiveness that she has playing

I'd love a comparison of this and Joshua Bell's Solo Violin vsti
@Nicdehouwer2 жыл бұрын
What? Why :D they're completely different things. JBV is made for realistic, symphonically appropriate playing, this instrument is just a sample of how this specific, eccentric artist plays. JBV is a lot more versatile/serves many more styles. Also better sounding, by a mile, in terms of legato scripting, if you ask me. This walkthrough had many weird phase and sudden 'hiss-change' issues. Joshua has none of those, I say that without exaggerating. This is very cool, but JBV is very good.

@@Nicdehouwer I purchased the Igudesman library today. I’m disappointed, to say the least. 😕
@scarletworeyellow Жыл бұрын
As someone who's been a happy user of JBV for many years and just bought Igudesman Solo Violin, don't buy this one unless you aren't trying to write melodic lines. This is the first purchase I've made from OT where I wish I could get my money back. The samples are beautiful, but the legatos are a nightmare to work I ended up switching back to JBV for the piece I was working on.
@vancozzin89982 жыл бұрын
I wish I would have known (before I purchased) that there is latency when playing the RHYTHMS patterns, which makes it difficult/impossible to sequence and quantize a performance. This is very disappointing.

However, I doubt in practice do we really need this amount of special effects.

The higher notes sound very artificial in basically all instruments in this library. I have the impression they were just computed and not really recorded.
