Fitting a clutch operated hand brake warning buzzer to the tractor to prevent the hand brake being left on and destroying the new brake band.

With the amount of work to replace the handbrake band on these tractors, they ought to have a high voltage system connected to the drivers seat, that electrocutes anyone trying to drive with the handbrake on... I have a 584 that I have used without handbrake ever since I bought it a few years ago. I thought it was a bargain then, until I realized how the handbrake is designed on it... My tractor also has a cabin that I assume would have to be taken off. I have been thinking about the possibility of making an alternative parking brake solution, but haven't quite figured out how yet. Either a rudimentary solution that somehow holds the brake pedals down, or a more refined system that somehow provides pressure to the brake lines independently of the brake pedals... Any ideas?

Hi,It's lunchtime, If your cab is configured the same as the one on my 574 you should be able to do it by just taking the seat console out as in my video. It is a different tractor with a handbrake. A pain in the backside to do but worth the trouble. I improved the handbrake warning system on mine as in my other video. I put a buzzer on the clutch pedal, it has savad the brake band several times! Good luck, Jon
