I could not make that call. Hell I dated a girl off/on 3 yrs after HS and 10 yrs later ran into someone who worked with her father "another pilot" and gave me her number. I stared at that piece of paper for 2 weeks even holding the phone in my hand but couldn't do it. Eventually threw it away.

Sadly I can relate to Pat. Both of my parents were dead by my 20s and so holidays do kind of suck since I am estranged from other members of my family. Though it isn't that bad since hanging out with family members can suck more. I am surprised Pat hasn't gotten sympathy laid due to his story being so sad. Girls can fall for the sad sack story.
