I always had the question (only a personal opinion) whether "Chandrabanu" was a direct or an indirect beneficiary of Kalinga Magha. Given both came from a similar area, the unpreparedness of both his invasions, the weaker strength of the armies, and the relevantly short time that the invasions occurred, it sounds more either as a reinforcement that came late for Magha OR Chandrabhanu just retaliating? Any opinion on this? Since it was discussed that Chandrabanu was only a minor regional ruler in the Malay peninsula that anybody hardly knew of in the mainstream history, I suppose there should be far greater reasons for him to make rather suicidal like attempts (twice) to invade SL, given he is comparatively weaker by all means to Magha who was already defeated (by a seemingly a stronger King in SL). Would appreciate a clarification. Thanks!
Prof. I have come across a place wherè you find all those names. They have buildings named 'Chandrawase, they have Mhahavansa, Parwati super stores, Pradana manthi, pradana shatriya, etc. And in their weddings I have seen beetle leaves and our bulath heppuwa also there.
