Longtime Sooner fan here, still can't figure this guy out. Looks to run slow but outruns everyone. Looks to have no cutting ability but leaves them in their tracks. Throws an ugly pass but was ahead of Mayfield and Murray last time the numbers were compared at 72% completion rate. Maybe it's just me but he looks effortless but by god puts up the numbers. The only thing I know for sure is he is an inspiration to many after what he did for Alabama, especially his last year. Hope to see this guy playing on Sunday, he deserves it. BTW, this was an outstanding video GM6ix Productions.

The first time he played as a freshman at Alabama was in the spring game. I kept saying it looks like he is gliding. He didn't appear he was running that fast but was running away from defenders. He stood out that day in the first game he played in. Alabama was blessed to have this fine young man. I never thought I would pull for Oklahoma but I have this year.

I think most experts and fans thought Oklahoma would lose 2 or 3 games this year and that Hurts wasn't really a good enough passer to excel in Riley's system. He just flat out destroyed all of that. The only negative you can say is that he had some critical turnovers in a series of games that turned comfortable wins into nailbiters but he led OU to a 12-1 record and a Big12 championship plus a spot in the playoff. You can't ask for more than that...except for a national title!!!

I do not innerstand how these people keep putting Jalen Hurts down as a quarterback. They are mentioning T. Lawerence, J. Fromm and many others to be better than him somehow. Neither of which are even in the top for the Heisman trophy. Hurts has more passing yards than both of them. Hurt's quarterback rating is higher, his passing percentage is better. Being realistic in speaking if one would look at the number of passes thrown compared to J. Burrow. Burrow has thrown a lot more passes than Hurts. Therefore, Burrow has much more passing yards. That is the only reason Burrow has more passing yards. Even with his 77.9 passing percentage and Hurts, 71.8 Burrow threw 130 more passes than Hurts. If you take 100 of the 130 more passing thrown by Burrow and add it to Jalen's stats. Hurts passing yards total would be 4,814 passing yards for the regular season. If you would do the math on this you would see that Hurts stat-wise would have more passing yards than Burrow. Even with Burrow's passing percentage, Hurts would still have more passing yards or around the same as Burrow and Hurts would easily win the Heisman. The reason why is because of Hurts having 11.8 yards per pass to Burrow having 10.7. Anyway, back to Lawerence and Fromm. I apologize because neither of their current stats can compare to Hurts. Fromm had 7 games that he did not pass for over 200 yards this season. How was this immigrant even thought to be mentioned as a better quarterback than Hurts? Insulting. Another insult is these clowns ( ESPN College Football ) stating that Burrow is head and shoulders above Jalen Hurts as a quarterback. An outright lie and falsehood ( slanders ). Burrow has been sacked 28 times to Hurts 21 times. Meaning Oklahoma's offensive line is better stat-wise. Yes, I know J. Burrow's father has a lot of influence behind the scenes in his son's career and has many of his kind support that image. My problem is when you lie about Burrow really being that much better than Hurts when he is not. I am not saying that LSU sucks or anything like that. I am just pointing out that LSU is not really better than Oklahoma. They are pretty much evenly matched. But the more experienced quarterback in the big games is Hurts. Defensively, Alex Grinch is a defensive genius. You will all see. Before all of you put your emotions into this game on LSU you better do a scouting report on Oklahoma first or you just might be looking at a future upset 3 weeks from now. I am just saying. lol

I've been an OU fan since 1974. There's 3 kind of people. The fans stick with OU rain or shine. The haters hate us when we're down, they really hate us when we're winning. Jalen Hurts has his prayer request answered! He wanted to transfer to play to win The National title and prove to the football world he is a great QB. Here is his opportunity. The Sooners actually have a defense that is good enough. They were literally the worst defense in college football for the last 2 years. The strength of their offense got them to the playoffs both of those years. Now they have a above average defense. Can Jalen Hurts lead them to victory? Does he have what it takes? Is he a true warrior? There is no doubt he is a tremendous athlete. He has been given a much better team and better coaches ‘defensive side of the ball”, than Mayfield or Murray had. It is Jalen Hurts to win or lose. I sincerely hope he plays his best football in this year’s playoffs. The outcome dictates his future in the NFL and will determine if he is a truly great college QB or just another great athlete.
