When he got benched I said to my dad they aren’t giving him a fair chance. Absolutely dominant and got his spot taken for 1 bad half. He comes in this game and gets his job done. Now a NFL quarterback. Biggest sleeper in history.

It made me so annoyed. Jalen gets benched for Tua and Tua leads the comeback and becomes the starter. Then Jalen does the same thing and he still gets benched.
@Don-md6wn
@Don-md6wn 2 жыл бұрын
Pure nonsense. Jalen struggled against good defenses down the stretch. 4th quarter comeback to beat Mississippi State. The loss to Auburn. Alabama was lucky to make the playoff after that. Alabama's defense dominated Clemson so the offense was very conservative. Shut out by Georgia for a half. Jalen was struggling with his reads and accuracy as a passer. He got a lot better the year he backed up Tua and in his season at Oklahoma.

@sam21462 3 жыл бұрын
@@LeskoBrandon2x - Oh don't take it wrong, he is no where near the top of the list of the greats, I would probably go Derrick Thomas or maybe Joe Namath if I had to pick. Jalen Hurts is my favorite, for as much off the field as on. I don't think the young man took a wrong step the entire time he was at The Capstone. He was touted as a sure fire Heisman winner as a freshman and lost his job a couple of years later. In all of that, and the intense media circus that went along with it, he stayed true to his school, his team, and himself. While everyone begged him to change position all he ever said was "no thanks, I'm going to be an NFL quarterback". It wasn't a vanity, it was just the reality in his mind and by god he was right. I could go on and on about the guy, he was simply the perfect college athlete and he capped his entire career off at Alabama by earning his degree before being off to Oklahoma to prove all of the doubters wrong, just as he seems to be doing with the Eagles in the present. I just think the world of the guy and hope his time in the NFL is as amazing as he deserves. Roll Tide Roll

@@marktastic86 Yes, it is well known in Tuscaloosa that Jalen is Saban's favorite. Saban credits his family for his work ethic and he did come in with that. But I have noticed some Saban expressions and mannerisms in his post game interviews. If you think about it makes perfect sense because the way Jalen handles adversity is exactly how Saban would like for every player. Hurts lives Saban's philosophy better than everybody except maybe Saban himself.

The best thing that ever happened to College Football was Kirby left Bama. Can you imagine all these players on one team?

@@hunterbrhs0772 that defense couldn’t tackle anyone on Bama and the refs robbed him a clear touchdown. Bama would’ve rolled most teams this year don’t kid yourself. Lawrence is lucky he lost to Ohio State.

@morrowthewizard3945
@morrowthewizard3945 3 жыл бұрын
@@marktastic86 there was a throw when they were only down two scores in the fourth to the back of the end zone to Wilson clearly one foot down you can see it clean on replay. They c all it out stands as out the Bama scores again cause that took the sails out of the opposing team. They score there it still was a game within reach. So yeah that’s a robbery in game. Not taking away from Bama they were a juggernaut last year but… that play had big impact in fourth quarter
@marktastic86
@marktastic86 3 жыл бұрын
@@morrowthewizard3945 Going into the 4th quarter it was 45-24. They were down 21 points. OSU defense could not stop anything. Literally. There was no way Bama was losing that game outside of a complete meltdown via turning it over at least 5 times. They could score whenever they felt like it.
