If you were thinking about a tight fitting body suit like Spider Man or a divers wet suit.....then expect heat activated FOSSHAPE just might be too stiff.....as it would would pretty much stand up by itself ......kind of like a light weight hallow mannikin.....but it kind of depends what it is you're trying to achieve. Go to fosshape dot com and request free sample to experiment with.

What mccall's patter did you use for the skull cap? I have been searching and have been unable to find it. I would like to use it to make some bases in the fosshape 600. Thanks in advance

Thanks. Or some sort of fluid rubber? There is a product now on the market that you can paint or spray on, look for plasti-dip. I intend to make stiff or semiflexible car parts for covering wheel housings, columns etc. , but the surface should be rather smooth/closed.

How well does light shine thru it? I would imagine it would give an nice diffused glow to a piece when paired with LED's.

Did you ever use epoxy resin to make it stronger? Do you know the basic chemics like the plastik fibre in it? Polyethylene?

Have not myself, but expect some endusers probably have in the past. FOSSHAPE is comprised of a low met polyester.

Can you use a hair dryer instead of a heat gun or steamer?
@markjeffrey6210
@markjeffrey6210 10 жыл бұрын
Not so much, only on maybe a small piece of FOSSHAPE you might get by. Hair dryers do not generate enough heat, tend to overheat, if not burn out... plus takes a long time to activate the FS.

I just found out about this product, I'm a costumer, question; can I use fabric paints on UN-heated fabric? I plan to make masks w/neck cowl, heating only the head part and not the neck so it stays flexible. Have you ever done this? think it will work?

May I use it on my body?
@markjeffrey6210
@markjeffrey6210 3 жыл бұрын
NO, NO and NO........ do not attempt to ever thermoform directly onto your body or anyone's else. We don't want folks getting hurt or burned. FOSSHAPE activates with heat and pressure. Steam heat is most often preferred and that would be harmful to the body. www.wonderflexworld.com
