So nice... another top quality lesson. I want to share my thoughts with the gang, and all who may visit Sandra's KZbin channel. I have decided to take on the challenge of studying jazz guitar, and after much research on the net I have chosen to follow Sandra exclusively. She wonderful, teaches exceedingly well and her prices for her material are very reasonable to say the least. I have deleted all of the other people I was following to eliminate all the distraction. I have come to realize that Sandra is all you need, and to just stay focused and enjoy the long journey. With that being said I will be buying all necessary material from her, and also donate when ever I can so we can continue have her on our quest to becoming a better player. If we all give a little it goes a long way. To all I say "Stay healthy, keep your head up, your guitar in your lap, and never abandon the journey.

@@GuitarversumSandraSherman :) I was watching your walking bass tutorial till two AM :). My neighbors were not complaining, though, maybe they did not hear those low frequencies I was producing with my guitar. I the borders will be opened! I love Vienna, have been there several times last year, visiting mostly VIC in Kaisermuhlen and attending gigs in Gasometer, definitely a Traumcity for me. My apologies for terrible parking situation in Bratislava, I know about that, I spend some nice long hours at the district office to obtain some documents, cause we have a new parking policy here... Definitely, parking and traffic is something that is very bad currently, cause this problem was overlooked, but the new mayor is doing his best he can, at least that is what he is saying :).

Hi Sandra! Gahreetings! Thanks for the 2-5-1 tips! I love how we can voice lead up or down, or both. Just one note can give us great options! Do you ever think of tritone subs in this context (ie, the B half dim vs rootless A9). Great food for thought (during my lunch😉). Baba.
@GuitarversumSandraSherman4 жыл бұрын
Didn't think about sub Vs in this video. I will do a seperate one on this subject. I don't get, how a Bø would be a Tritone sub for an A9, though.
@barrysebastian95844 жыл бұрын
Guitarversum Sandra Sherman sorry, I was chewing BBQ 😄. No, when you referenced the rootless G being the same as Bhalf dim, it just made me think of the old (for ex) tritone sub replacing the 5 chord with a half step drop as 7th, from the 2. I should just keep quiet😉. Great lesson👍

Greetings Sandra, Just have a question on a chord Dminor 7 that you play at 6.43 time. I am gradually learning my guitar theory knowledge and was wondering where is the note "A" in that chord Dminor 7? or doesn't it matter in this case? Thankyou!
@GuitarversumSandraSherman4 жыл бұрын
In jazz the 5th is often omitted. It doesn't add any great vibes (literally) and since we only have five fingers, we need them to play more interesting tones, like tensions (9,11,13)
