This video convinced me to switch from claw (ring, middle, thumb) to 1048 on my left hand and holy fuck I can't thank you enough. I was getting wrist pain after like 10 minutes of playing with claw and now I can play like 2 hours without much problem, and scratching is easier. I really wish I had forced myself to do this earlier.

Great video dude! I went from not even clearing 2's in LR2 to hard clearing 4's and easy clearing a 7 in about 5 days going from a symmetrical claw to 1048 after transitioning from a kb playstyle. You've made my life so much easier

I literally took the advice on this video a whole ass year ago switching from the old Hokuto stance which I got to 9th dan with somehow. Now after a whole year of only using 1048 and random I have beaten a lot of difficult 11s and a lot of mid and some high 12s thanks to it. The hardest part for me was deciding which finger to hit 7 with, I was doing ring for the past year but now I am starting to think pinky might actually be better. This video and Darqs old video basically convinced me that 1048 is the way and to never look back. GG.

I started playing Beatmania IIDX last year at a arcade and looked for some video on how to properly play, leading me to your video on playstyles...I originally thought that TAKA.S looked too awkward and just went with Claw (big mistake) ...jumped ahead to today, and after practice I have to say I'm improving and using TAKA.S and 1048...still a newb and not doing anything above 3 on difficulty...but managing to clear with few if none misses. Thanks for this helpful guide!

I really wish that someday there will be a modular beat mania controller for PCs that would let you to change it into whatever suits you’re comfortable meet and have the modularity to be connected with other controllers of the same functionality. Having different combinations that can suit for whatever your needs could be. 5 keys done, 7 keys No problem. 14 keys when connected with another modular controller system make it happen , turntable on the left or on the right , W wanna just remove the turntable and just use the keys, whenever the controller doesn’t care as long as it’s suitable.

Where do i begin since I'm a complete newbie? Is it keyboard acceptable to play or does it screw my sense up if I play with actual controller later? Also, this game straight up just murders me without mercy even on lower difficuly songs. It makes DDR look easy to me😂.

Hai, I live in the US, and I’ve really wanted to get into IIDX, however the nearest arcade to have it is quite far away, and I have no idea how to play at home. When I try to get infinitas on my pc, it doesn’t let me. Obviously paying the subscription would suck anyways. Is the only way to play at home for free, through the PS2?

my biggest struggle is hitting the 3rd (second white) button. i play 1048 and when scratching i can really only force my left hand to hit 1 and 2. for the life of me my thumb will not hit 3. so i use my right thumb to hit 3, but then how do i hit 3+5 at the same time? What about 3+5+7 or 1+3+5+7 :(. i practically miss these chords every time

@@tenaibms Yeah, I do very often, unless note density is high, but, my finger is shot, hard to do wrist scratch. I can't for the life of me get my left thumb on 1. Right now I'm forcing myself to use it on 1+2 chords which often times drops my combo. 1048 feels like dogshit to me. The way my thumb and index finger on 1+3 feels is so limiting. If a 1+3 roll came along with 1048 I'd get nothing but Poors and Bads. I'd rather take my chances on the transition to scratching with the claw. But before I tried using my left thumb on 1, what I would do is just hit 1+2 with my index finger just splayed across both keys. Actually worked pretty good. 9th Dan, by the way.
@greentea_vsrg8 жыл бұрын
Fattoxthegreat for 1-3 rolls, you should practice bringing your right thumb over, it's much more accurate. for 1-2 rolls, you should really go back to easier songs (8s and 9s) to learn. In the end it'll be much easier to time than using one finger for both lol
@t3hSurge7 жыл бұрын
